The rest of the Chiembanchong family arrived in SF this morning and Ta finally got to meet and hold his grandson.
Peanut also met Uncle Johnny, Auntie Joy, and cousin Alice.
Oh, happy day!
Watch us grow!

Oh, happy day!
Today was filled with excitement for this little boy. It started out quiet with Yai. He was super alert and just hung out with her.
He later chatted with Ta over FaceTime and would turn to the screen each time Ta would say something. Maybe he likes his low voice.
Around lunch, Auntie Jia and Uncle Jason arrived and met him for the first time. Toni and Thomas were also here but they were either sleeping or eating. We’ll get a cousin photo next time.
Ama and Ankong also flew in last night and came to meet their newest grandson.
This is a big year for the Lao Family!
Uncle Bang and Auntie Vyl also stopped by to meet him in the afternoon.
He was much sleepier by then.
Here he is with his new buddy Rowan.
Auntie Teresa also came to say “hello” to him. I can’t wait for him to be big enough to follow Henry around.
This morning, Janie had breakfast and then snacked on cucumber and carrots.
She also played with Ta before Dada woke up.
Once Dada woke up, he took Janie across the street to practice riding her Strider bike.
It was fun to have such a big parking lot to practice riding.

Then we had to say our goodbyes. It was time to drive back to SF.
Janie had a great time in Southern California this weekend. Wish we could do this more often.
There was a little time between breakfast and church so Janie watched some videos with Ta on his phone.
She also opened the veggies that she got from Great Auntie Jeanie yesterday and did a little cooking.

This morning, we took Yai and Ta to Mimi’s Cafe for an early breakfast. Janie had lots of pancake and sausage.
She also liked the cup they gave her.
After breakfast, we stopped at Trader Joe’s to pick up snacks for our drive home tomorrow.
This morning, Janie went to Disneyland with Auntie Joy, Uncle Johnny, Alice, and Ta.
They all piled into the car together and got there in time for their opening.
It’s the first weekend of the Disneyland 60th Anniversary Celebration and Janie was lucky enough to go!
Once they got into the park, their first stop was the Baby Care Center for a potty break.
The kids got stickers for going potty!
The girls held hands as they walked through Tomorrowland and Alice went for a spin.

Here they are at the Jedi Training Academy.
The first ride they went on was the Finding Nemo Submarine ride. Right away, she spotted the seagulls outside saying, “Mine! Mine! Mine!”.
Initially, she was scared to go in the submarine but did much better this time around compared to when she was 8 months old and screaming when the lights went out.
The next ride was “It’s a Small World” and the girls scored a front-row seat on the boat.
Janie and Ta took a picture together in front of the Walt & Mickey statue at the hub of the park.
Janie got a snack around late morning while Alice took a cat nap.
When given the choice of the carousel or Dumbo, Janie chose to ride Dumbo.
After a 30-minute wait, they scored a blue Dumbo and Janie used the joystick to make it go up and down.

Janie had a fun time this morning at the “Happiest Place on Earth”. Thanks for taking me, Family!!!
This morning as we waited for Auntie Yoon to stop by, Janie had some oatmeal for breakfast.
She also shared some with Alice.
When Auntie Yoon arrived, she dropped off cookies for our flight home and said “see you later” to Janie.
The rest of the day was spent at the pool. It took some time for Janie to warm up to going into the deeper part of the pool but she did! We even convinced Yai to get in the pool with us.
Janie was a little apprehensive about walking into the 1.5-foot pool but got in one step at a time.
Here she is sitting on the second step.
Eventually, she was walking around with Daddy and then all on her own!
In fact, by the end of the day, she didn’t want to get out even though she was shivering.
Mommy and Daddy had a date night so Janie had dinner with Yai, Ta, Uncle Johnny, Auntie Joy, and Alice.
They went out for Japanese food.
On the way back to the hotel, they stopped at Yogurtland and Janie scored a tiny cup of frozen yogurt for herself.
They also stopped to listen to some live music at the Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center.
Back at the hotel, Janie and Alice took a bath together and then had their milk side-by-side before bed.
They also watched Frozen together for a while. Janie fell asleep on Yai and Ta’s bed and then transferred very easily to the stroller when Mommy and Daddy came back. Thanks for a fun night, family!!
This morning Janie and Mommy woke up super early (2-hour difference in Hawaii). We strolled along the water while the moon was still out and headed out to the beach.
The family was out there too so we watched the sun come up and Janie had some oatmeal with Yai.
Janie also helped Alice get used to the sand. She’s not a big fan of the beach right now.
Then we walked down to McDonald’s for a local plate of spam, eggs, and rice. Janie loved drinking out of her “milk jug”.
On our way back to the hotel, Janie did a decent job keeping up.
We woke up Daddy with his very own plate and Janie kept him company on the lanai.
