Barnes and Noble

This morning, I took Janie to Barnes and Noble to hang out with her soul sister Sophie.

Sophie’s crawling now but Janie can sit on her own now to play with the toys too.  Janie even tried to grab onto Sophie’s pants as she crawled away.

They took over the Children’s section with their toys and antics.  As usual, they were so much fun to watch.  Janie’s become more interested in what Sophie’s doing and watches everything she does.

Apparently Janie is just as entertaining for Sophie.

Here’s a little video of this morning.

Two Little Monkeys

Janie had a good time playing with Sophie this afternoon.  She got to show off her rolling skills and did a little better with her sitting.

Unfortunately, Sophie had a bit too much to eat before playtime and spit up a little bit. Janie looked concerned.

It’s so much fun to watch these two play together.  Thanks for coming over, Sophie!

First Play Date

This afternoon we met up with Auntie Ranee and Little Sophie who just moved back to California from NYC.

Click here if you can’t see the video above.

It was so much fun to watch the two little cheeksters “play” together.  Janie is sitting just well enough to hold a toy and Sophie (almost exactly 4 months older) was showing off her mad sitting and rolling skillz.

As a therapist (and mommy), I loved seeing their two different ways of sitting side-by-side in their hoodies.  Janie’s still using the kickstand approach while Sophie’s upright and hands-free.

They “shared” the toys that Sophie brought and had some Tummy Time together too.

Here’s a photo of them looking like they’re having a great conversation – maybe sharing stories about how they drive their parents crazy in the early mornings.

Sophie was so curious that she would get really close to Janie’s face to get a better look.

At one point, she leaned in and gave her a smooch and got a taste of Janie’s sweater too.

Janie looks like she was getting roughed up by Sophie but she was fine.

Afterward, they both went down for a nap in their strollers making it the perfect end to their first of many play days to come.
