I’ve never seen so much enthusiasm for broccoli.
Fruits & Veggies
We visited the Cerritos Farmer’s Market to pick up some new fruits and veggies for Janie to try. We’re going make some green beans, broccoli, asian pear, and kale today!
Girl Time
From the first day she came home, I’ve been enjoying the times when Janie and I can just hang out in the couch and play. Some of the best moments are when she’s sitting next to me in the couch and leans over to nuzzle my arm. Nowadays she grabs my arm with both hands and smushes her face into it with a big smile. Makes my heart melt.
Weeeeee!!
Janie took a ride in Caltrain this afternoon to go to her 2nd Cousins’ birthday party in San Jose. She thoroughly enjoyed looking out the window and playing in the seat with Mommy.
How do I look?

When I was pregnant and found out we were having a girl, I imagined a little cutie with alien antennae pigtails. I bought a set of hair ties on Friday and couldn’t resist giving it a try. Janie has some pretty long hair now and it worked! She was a good sport and I thought she was pretty darn cute.

Here’s a photo of me when I was little.

Tomales Bay

Janie took a day trip to Tomales Bay Oyster Co., which is about an hour-and-a-half drive north of SF. She rode in the backseat with Koa and took some pretty good naps there and back.

At the oyster farm, she hung out with her toys and ate some plums while the grown ups shucked and ate oysters prepared 3 different ways. She’ll get to try Oysters Rockefeller one day.

It was nice and sunny outside and she really enjoyed looking at the water shimmering in the sunlight. Each time I took her out there, she would squeal and kick her legs.

She also got to sit on the beach for a bit to feel the gravel in her hands. What fun!
No Fair!

Janie had to sit at the table while all the grown-ups ate a big Korean feast.

Poor baby just had to sit there with no access to the food. One day she’ll get to try some tasty spicy pork and kalbi. One day.
Just a diaper…
Sometimes a baby just needs to play without clothes on. I was changing her clothes on the bed when she rolled(!) away. Looked like she really enjoyed feeling being free and getting to feel the soft blanket on her tummy.
Sharing Giggles
I love hanging out with my little girl. She was extra loveable and silly this morning and we shared some good giggles.

Warm October

It’s October and we’re in the middle of our annual 2-day heatwave so Janie got to wear another one of her outfits from Ankong.
The evening was still warm so we also went out for dinner and sat on the patio. Little Janie was wide awake and LOVED all the activity and attention. She’s a little distracted in the photo. She enjoyed watching the servers zooming back and forth between tables.
