Janie went to her first luau today and wore he new hula shirt and plumeria for the occasion.

She got to try some of the food but then fell asleep right before the show started. It’s ok, there will be plenty of hula in your future, little one.
Watch us grow!

We’ve been paying a visit to Mr. Ocean each day to keep Janie acclimated to the surf.

This morning she did better when Daddy took her out.

She also held it together when I held her in knee-deep water. However, she was still crawling up my arms each time a wave came by.

Look at this brave girl sitting on the sand near the water line!
Janie played in the pool this afternoon. She needed a little time to get used to it but once she learned to splash and kick it was all good.
We were up early and went down to the beach in front of our vacation home. Janie was a little scared of the waves this morning.

As soon as we landed in Maui, we dropped off our bags at the house and headed to Star Noodle for dinner. Janie got her very own mini water glass! So cute!

“Whoa. Is that ALL for me?!”

Janie got to try the garlic noodles today

She seemed to have a great time eating them.
We had a quick layover in Honolulu.

Janie enjoyed looking out the giant windows and crawling all over the place. Does she ever stop moving?!

Fortunately for me, Janie passed out as soon as we took off for our flight from Oahu to Maui. The flight was like a 30-minute bus ride from island to island and she slept from take-off to landing.

We don’t get very many photos of the three of us. We took this outside of the restaurant tonight as we waited for our car to arrive.

Here’s one of Janie and Daddy.
Now with Janie around, Koa’s been playing second fiddle in the family lately. Poor Koa. Janie has a weird sense of humor…well, I guess WE have a weird sense of humor.

It’s just me and my little cupcake. She’s so cute that I could just eat her up!

Janie was having a little trouble sleeping this evening so we sat together on the couch with the TV on. I guess we both fell asleep and Daddy found us like this.
