Morning Playtime
We had a nice quiet Sunday morning with Janie playing on the floor and Koa supervising from above.
New Year’s Eve
Janie rang in the new year with her pal Koa. We all went to Uncle Jason and Auntie Jia’s house for dinner and a sleepover.
She also had her first taste of cheese and LOVED it. She also had to bat Koa out of the way to get to it since they were both begging for cheese that night. Click here if you can’t see the video above.
Koa!
With Koa staying in Cerritos for the past two weeks, I wasn’t sure if Janie would remember him. Well, she did and was delighted to see him again.
Sharing…sort of…
Koa loves Janie’s puffs and she tried to share them with him tonight. Unfortunately, it was so hidden in her palm that Koa couldn’t get to it and then Janie decided to just eat it herself. Poor Dog.

Fun at Uncle’s House
We went down to Uncle Jason’s this evening and Janie had a fun time. His apartment is a decent size and the best thing about it is that he has a huge empty floor space with carpet in the livingroom. When Janie comes over, she takes up the whole space with her belongings and trusty sidekick Koa.
She helped herself to the puffs when Mommy wasn’t looking.
In the bedroom, she enjoyed time in front of the full-length mirror.
And at dinner at the restaurant next door, she sat by herself in the highchair and ate puffs at her leisure.
Tomales Bay
Janie took a day trip to Tomales Bay Oyster Co., which is about an hour-and-a-half drive north of SF. She rode in the backseat with Koa and took some pretty good naps there and back.
At the oyster farm, she hung out with her toys and ate some plums while the grown ups shucked and ate oysters prepared 3 different ways. She’ll get to try Oysters Rockefeller one day.
It was nice and sunny outside and she really enjoyed looking at the water shimmering in the sunlight. Each time I took her out there, she would squeal and kick her legs.
She also got to sit on the beach for a bit to feel the gravel in her hands. What fun!
Janie loves Koa
This morning Koa walked by and Janie craned her neck to watch him. Then she looked over and smiled. Aw…
Dusk
Taking our usual 5:30 pm walk is now a stroll in the almost-dark.
