Now with Janie around, Koa’s been playing second fiddle in the family lately. Poor Koa. Janie has a weird sense of humor…well, I guess WE have a weird sense of humor.
Koa!!
Janie always stops in her tracks whenever Koa comes by.
She also does everything in her power to get to him.
Salmon
Janie had salmon for the first time today and she really enjoyed it. Looked like Koa wanted some too.
Ball-cano!!
Over the weekend, we went to Babies R Us to donate the ladybug bouncer that Janie’s outgrown. After some browsing, we picked up this ball-cano that makes sounds, lights up, and has little balls that roll down the sides. Looks like Janie and Koa are equally interested in it.
Here she is trying to stand on her own.
She likes to test her balance and she’s doing a pretty good job here for the two seconds that it took to take this photo.
What’s cool is that she doesn’t usually fall down on her bottom. She just leans forward and clings onto whatever is in front of her. That’s our sturdy baby!
Evening on Embarcadero
Playing
I love watching Janie play.
She does a pretty good job entertaining herself and Koa keeps her company too.
It’s amazing how these two can really tear up a livingroom in just a few minutes.
273 days
Janie is 39 weeks old! This week has been a big one for us all. She started crawling! It’s not the prettiest crawl but she’s on the move and we’ve been having to watch her even more closely. It’s definitely made these weekly photo shoots a lot more challenging too. Here’s one of our outtakes. She’s quick!
She also started sleeping on her tummy more regularly and managed to sleep 11 hours one night this week. That was amazing. She also had tofu and sliced American cheese for the first time this week. As usual, they were a hit.
She’s also been a lot more interested in Koa this week. She’s always enjoyed his company and used to crack up at his every move but now she’s OBSESSED with him. Maybe it’s because she can almost follow him around the mat and she can also get up on her knees for a better look at him.
So, I guess it was only appropriate to have Koa included in one of this week’s ducky photos too. He just barged right into the photo shoot and she was DE-lighted.
Obsessed
This little girl is OBSESSED with Koa lately. Look at her trying to chase him down around the corner! Too bad she can only go so far. She started crawling two steps last night while she was on FaceTime with Yai.
Double Trouble
These two are gonna get into a lot of mischief soon.
Free-for-all Friday
This is how we spend our Friday nights now. The heater’s on and Baby’s not wearing any pants.
There’s a box full of toys and Koa’s supervising.
Good times…
