During Janie’s nap today, Daddy assembled her new trike. Thanks to Uncle Victor and Auntie Susie, she now has a new ride that will grow with her.

Here she is trying it out as soon as she woke up. That’s why her hair is such a mess. It looked like it was a hit with her.

This afternoon we tried to take the tricycle for a ride at a park but it was a bust. Fortunately, we had a 15-minute wait for dinner so we took her for a spin. What fun!!

She even “raced” Auntie Jia back to the restaurant.

Bay Area Birthday Bash

As if two parties wasn’t enough, Janie had one more birthday party today with her Bay Area friends and family. So many of her little friends came to celebrate!

Janie wanted to hang out with her a bit so she quietly sat in her lap without reaching for the stuff on the table. Now THAT’S a sleepy baby.

She sat for as long as she could keep her eyes open and then as soon as she was placed in her bed she instantly fell asleep. Funny girl.

Flying Home

Janie flew home today. Here’s a photo of her trying to get Uncle Jason’s attention at the airport in Maui. What a funny girl.

The flight from Maui to Oahu was short but she was hungry and cried for the last 10 minutes of the flight. Bummer. Luckily for everyone on the plane from Honolulu to SF, she actually slept a total of two hours.

All the grown-ups were served a free hot meal and Janie wanted a piece of the action.
