Watch us grow!
Janie was a little stressed out this evening. She was tired and ready to go to sleep but realized she had not gotten ready for school tomorrow. As she was sighing and writing out her list on the fridge, Mama offered to help with her to-do list. She graciously accepted and added a little note at the bottom. So sweet.
This is one of the endearing things I will remember about Peanut at this age. He was up early this morning and excited to press the buttons on the washing machine.
And then he stands there and just watches the water fill and tub wiggle and spin.
The kids set up a homework table today. Glad to see Peanut doing something productive too.
This is just one of the skills that Peanut has learned at school. I hope he doesn’t put his mouth on that faucet!
The kids made lemon cupcakes together.
They had the most fun decorating them. Janie spread the frosting and Peanut put on the sprinkles.
After his swim class, he was rewarded with some iPad time. His focus and giant headphones reminded me of photos of Michael Phelps getting ready for his swim races.
Peanut made himself a laundry nest and enjoyed snuggling his blankie in the process.
After Dada and Janie left for their dinner and dance, Peanut went on a scooter ride with Mama as she ran. We went all the way around the lagoon and rode through his school to show off his scooter to his teacher.
Before dinner, we stopped at Toy Safari where they sell lots of used toys. Peanut picked out a submarine for the bathtub.
Then we had dinner at Tomatina where he ordered the kid’s Caesar salad and ravioli.
After dinner, he was given the choice of getting ice cream at Tucker’s or going to the arcade. He chose the arcade and had so much fun. He tried Excite Bike, a driving/racing game, and Street Fighter II.
What a fun night for Mama and Peanut!
Dada took Janie to the Father-Daughter Dance again this year. The whole gang attended and had a good time.
