When Janie came home from school, the two kids played together.
Peanut loves his big sister.
You can tell we’ve had a lot of sick people in the house lately because Janie pretended to check everyone’s temperature with her flashlight. She said “Peanut is 89 and Mama is 60”.
Since everyone checked out fine, Janie said that we could resume playing.
Peanut made his way to the toy box somehow on his own but still needed a little help getting the book out. Big sister will help!
We went to Rowan and Isla’s house this evening for dinner and the kids had so much fun together. They played the fishing game, ran up and down the hallways together, and built train tracks.
When we got home, Janie said “I had a lot of fun with Rowan and Isla.” Auntie Vyl later sent us a message saying that Isla had a blast too.
It’s 5 am and he’s wide awake again.
So, we went to Starbucks again and Peanut made a friend at the next table.
Peanut loves watching his sister. She was singing ABCs to him this evening.
Today, we had pho for lunch and Peanut sat in his highchair for the entire meal.
Janie loved her noodles, bean sprouts, beef, and soup.
We also stopped at 99 Ranch Market next door and Peanut enjoyed all the sights and sounds of the store.
His hand and the blanket were also pretty tasty.
Next stop was Trader Joe’s before heading home. Janie asked nicely for some stickers and the checker gave her a long strip of them!
Since Peanut was sick, we didn’t do much today. When we got home from Costco and Petco, Janie opened up her Duplos and shared with Peanut.
They seemed perfectly content doing this. Made Mama happy too.
We opened up the construction trucks that Janie received as a Christmas gift from Yai and Ta.
Once Peanut went down for a nap, Janie got to play with some rice, which made the construction trucks even more fun!
Janie was making Peanut giggle today during lunch.

They later played on the floor together. I have a feeling I’ll be seeing more of this in our future.
This month, I’m seeing more and more interactions like this and it makes my heart melt every time. Today, in the car, Peanut was starting to fuss when she started to play peek-a-boo with him. He giggled and kept his eyes on big sister for the rest of the ride. So sweet.
We had a pajama morning through lunch and Janie did a good job playing on her own. Eventually, everyone was going a little stir crazy at home so we quickly got dressed and went out for a walk.

Janie did a good job following directions so she scored some soft serve.
On our way home, she showed off her “sword”, which is actually just a straw she got from Peet’s coffee shop. She was pretending to be Calico Jack from Octonauts. Funny girl.
