Dinner with the Family

It’s rare that we get the whole family together in the Bay Area. We almost got everyone up here but Uncle Johnny and Auntie Joy couldn’t make it up this weekend. After the birthday party, we all went out for dinner at Southshore Center. The kids ran around for a bit, had some Chinese food, and then stopped for ice cream.

Early Dinner

IMG_1868

Janie has been asking for hot pot since we bought the new house and she got her wish this evening. She helped cook the meat and Peanut tried to use chopsticks.

Blocks with Yai

Peanut hasn’t been a fan of his room. He cries every time we bring him inside – probably because he thinks he’s gonna get locked in. We had to install a baby gate at the door since they wouldn’t fit at the top of the stairs. Today, we played in his room and had a good time. Hopefully, he’ll enjoy playing in his room soon.

First Weekend

IMG_1625

On our first weekend in our new home started with a trip back to the SF condo to meet with a realtor and to pick up some more items. Janie came along and had to keep herself busy in the condo during our appointment. She was also squished in the back seat of the car with a bunch of boxes. As a special treat for being so good (and patient), she got her first Happy Meal. It came with 4 Chicken McNuggets, a tiny bag of fries, yogurt, and a Hot Wheels car. Fun!

In the afternoon, the kids had a fun time in the patio. They played bubbles, watered the plants and enjoyed the fresh air.

Janie also got to ride her scooter around the “front yard”. Boy oh boy…our weekends are definitely looking a lot different than they used to.
