Watch us grow!

Mama and Dada had a tax appointment today so Janie and Peanut stayed with Yai and Ta for the morning.

Uncle Johnny and Alice also came over and they all went to Heritage Park together.

Peanut was up early again so Peanut went for a walk to the the Starbucks nearby.

We also took him to the Farmers Market to pick up some produce for Uncle Johnny and some popcorn for big sister.

Peanut scored an apple slice from one of the vendors.

Peanut was up early this morning and had Ta and Yai to keep him company.

He even got to visit the local donut shop with Yai.

One of our favorite places to go for Thai noodles is Sweetee Thai. We had one last meal with Mama’s family.

Peanut sat in a highchair again today. He’s getting pretty good at it and sitting for longer periods of time.

Everyone was all smiles this evening.

Throughout dinner, there was a lot of “monkey see, monkey do”. Here are Janie and Alice peeling the paper off their straws.

There were lots of giggles between these two monkeys.

Every time we visit Cerritos, we gather up all of Mama’s cousins and we have a big Thai feast at Thai Nakorn. Tonight was our dinner and we had almost everyone there this time! Here is Peanut with Brandon, Cole, and Auntie Marie.

Theo and Sadie were also in town for the holidays this year so we had an extra-large group! So fun!

Here’s Peanut with Uncle Pish.

There were lots of presents after dinner and Peanut watched his big sister open his gifts. Oooo! New PJs!!

Janie scored her very first board game – Chutes and Ladders!! One of Mama’s favorites!

When we got back to Buena Park, Dada showed her how to play.

We had Christmas Eve dinner at Din Tai Fung this evening.

Peanut enjoyed watching the people making dumplings in the kitchen.

This little pipsqueak also managed to grab a handful of fried rice.

We loved the dumpling kid statue in the front.

Janie loves Cuties, which she calls “mandarinas” (mandarin orange in Spanish). Peeling them is almost as fun as eating them.

Peanut was hanging out on the floor this morning while she was eating them and Janie let him take a closer look.

Most of Monday was spent at Yai and Ta’s house. Peanut played with Alice’s toys and did a little driving with Yai’s help.

He also admired himself in the full-length mirror today.

This kid loves to look at himself.

Alice also kept Peanut company throughout the day. She’s grown very fond of her little cousin.

Janie was still so tired from her full day at Disneyland that she took a really long nap on the sofa this evening.

Today, we took our annual trip to Disneyland. This was the first time we bought Janie a ticket and she made it worth our money. The first ride was “It’s a Small World”. We just love what they do to the ride during the holidays.

We later visited Toon Town and Janie started her “Creature Report” by taking a photo of Pluto with her camera. She was brave enough to pet him on the nose and take a photo with him.

She remembered him from the Chip and Dale cartoons that she used to watch.

Toon Town is fun because there are all kinds of things to play with and ride. Janie and Alice took turns driving this car.

At Gadget’s Go-Coaster, we measured Janie and she was way taller than the minimum height requirement! Woohoo! It was going to be her first rollercoaster ride!

She was initially excited and clueless when we first got on the ride. Then as the ride zoomed around and up and down, she was in a little bit of shock and confusion.

Poor thing couldn’t fight the centripetal forces to keep her head upright but luckily the ride was short enough to tolerate. As the ride came to an end, she cried out “it’s too fast!” but there were no tears. We were so proud of her.

Afterward, we went to Mickey’s house and met the big mouse himself. Janie was still pretty shy but we got a family photo and she waved to him.

For this trip, we borrowed Toni and Thomas’ double jogger and it sure did come in handy today. Peanut got to nap on one side and Janie got to have her snacks (and a nap!) on the other side.

We had lunch at Carnation and Peanut got to sit in a highchair! The waiter also brought him a cup of water. We all got a little chuckle out of that.

At Pooh’s Corner, Peanut was loving all the Christmas decorations and trees. He was constantly looking around and up.

We waited in line to visit Santa and the girls had fun playing with each other.

Janie told Santa that she wanted Octonauts for Christmas. Peanut was super comfy on Santa’s lap.

Here’s his first photo with Santa! He didn’t cry like Janie did on her first visit.

At Hungry Bear, the whole family shared an apple pie funnel cake and Peanut would have gotten his fair share if we let him.

When the sun went down, the rest of the family went home and the four of us stayed until the park closed. Janie went on the rocket ships with Dada and then went on Dumbo with Mama.

Peanut enjoyed watching all the moving lights all around him.

He was a pretty happy boy all day!

Before falling asleep, Janie watched the fireworks on Dada’s shoulders.

Then both kids were asleep by 10 while Mama and Dada stayed a bit longer to watch Fantasmic and do some shopping.

What a fun-filled day!!

We drove down to Cerritos late last night and arrived by 2am. Peanut woke up and was ready to play. Luckily it didn’t take long for him to go back to sleep for the night.
