For dinner, we met up for hot pot near Alice’s hotel.

Janie gave Alice one of her Gups and the two girls hung out next to each other at the table.

Peanut had to be pulled far back from the table to keep his long arms away from trouble.

Alice and Janie loved the soup.

We then walked back to the hotel to hang out.

The girls played inside the bedside table, which became a clubhouse. Peanut also partied and did a little dance for Auntie Joy.

Peanut eventually fell asleep in Yai’s bed since it was way past his bedtime.

Today we met up with the family at the Ferry Plaza.

Janie rode her scooter there with Dada.

Before Hog Island opened, we got some waffles and Peanut wanted a taste.

It was a beautiful sunny day in SF today.

Janie tried out Daddy’s skateboard today while Cousin Alice tried out her scooter.

We got an outdoor table at Hog Island and Peanut loved joining in on the fun.

He adores Auntie Joy.

He also adores bread. Yum.

He also tried a lemon wedge.

Janie and Alice each got some soft serve. It was the perfect treat in the sun!

They later burned off the sugar at the playground.

Today we had Janie’s 4th birthday party and it had an Octonauts theme complete with sea creatures in a tub filled with water beads and hot dogs made into little octopuses.

We had a “buncha muncha crunchy carrots”, “seaweed chips”, and “coral pieces” as well.

For the birthday cake, Janie wanted chocolate so we turned them into Captain Barnacles’ favorite drink, hot chocolate with extra marshmallows!

Peanut had a fun time hanging out with Yai and Ta. He had his own little ocean-themed play area but didn’t stay on it for very long.

Daddy made sandwiches for everyone and Janie had a small one of her own.

Peanut rode on Uncle Johnny’s shoulders for a bit and was amused by how much hair Uncle had on his head. There was plenty to hold onto up there!

The cake was the best part of the party and Janie was very funny toward the end of the birthday song.

I guess she hasn’t quite outgrown her Daddy’s scowl yet.

All her friends thoroughly enjoyed the cake after the singing. Here’s Vivian and the very little cake she had left.

Henry gobbled up his cake in his own way and wore half the frosting on his face.

Sophie licked all the frosting off before chomping into the cake.

Cousin Alice was very dainty and took small licks of the frosting off her finger.

Janie also enjoyed the frosting the most and wore some of it on her face as well.

After cake, the kids went back outside for some more play time. This was the scene at the play dough table. Vivian and Henry had a standoff for the same chair. It was so cute to see how equally stubborn they were.

Janie and Isla also sorted the water beads by color and each of the took home their favorite color.

What a fun party! As an added bonus, Janie got a scoop of strawberry ice cream after dinner. This kid is really making the most of her 4th birthday!!

Peanut insisted on helping Yai with packing her suitcase this morning.

Dada arrived this afternoon and had just enough energy to go out to dinner with us. Janie was so happy to have her Dada back home – especially because he took her out to ride her scooter.

Yai and Peanut took a photo in front of the ballpark on our way home while we waited for the light to turn green. It’s been so much fun having her around this past week!

It’s rare that we get both kids to cooperate for a nice photo with Yai. All the stars must have been aligned today.

This little guy was not satisfied with his carrot. He wanted something in his belly!

So, Yai hooked him up with some apple sauce that Mama had just made. Ah…hungry hippo is happy again.

Yai arrived in SF today and we took her out for her favorite fried chicken at Little Skillet.

She also made Janie this cool little flag out of a sticker she got from the DJ and a coffee stirrer.

Yai trimmed Peanut’s nails today and he didn’t care. He was too busy making faces at Mama across the counter.

What a funny guy…
