This morning, Mama volunteered in Janie’s classroom and she got to read some of her journal entries to her.

Homework Time
Thursday nights are when we do the majority of our homework. Peanut likes to join in on the fun.
Homework
This is one of Janie’s homework assignments. It was to write a sentence and draw a picture about how she can be a good ally.
Meanwhile, Peanut practiced cutting. He couldn’t help praise himself by saying “AWESOME” when he was done.
Practicing Q
Mama loves that they are using the Handwriting Without Tears Program at school. Peanut is learning how to draw a Q this week.
Know-it-all
At the end of the school year, there are lots of things going on so Mama writes reminders on the fridge for Janie. Apparently, we have a know-it-all in the house and doesn’t need reminding. Sheesh.
Apology
Happy Hour Gang
The kids went to Oakland for a graduation Happy Hour with Mama and her old work friends. Peanut hung out with his pal Hudson while Janie got to do some drawing/coloring with Henry, Sophie, and Avia.
We were all so proud of how well all the kids did this evening. It’s great to see them grow up together over the past 6 years. So happy to have our little CHO family together in one place.
Animal Messages
Janie left the first message for me one morning. So I left you a response (in red) later in the evening. The next morning, she left the third one.
Ladybug
This month’s homework was to make a 3D bug of any kind. Janie wanted to make a ladybug so that’s what we did!
She also had to write 3 sentences describing her bug so that her classmates could guess which one was hers.
She wrote:
- It has glitter on the red!
- It has googly eyes!
- The wings have spots on them!
- The head is black!
- The legs look funny!
I don’t know why she used exclamation points.
