Janie loves her milk and water. She’s recently learned how to say the word “ice”. She’s also showing off her “nai nai” and “agua”. I’m amazed at how much she understands now.
Her new job at home is getting ice cubes for us. Only the single cubes fit in the water bottle so she’s learning how to sort and choose only the single or small cubes compared to the double, triple, or big cubes.
Poor GoGo. He’s sick so Janie took him to the vet. She did a good job staying out if trouble while Mommy and Daddy were talking to the doctor. Snacks definitely helped.
When she saw the paintings on the wall, she pointed and said “go-go”. So good!
Janie also had a tasty spaghetti dinner while we were waiting for Koa’s test results.
We hope he’ll feel better tomorrow.
Janie took Koa out for a walk this morning and got to run free along the baseball stadium.
Now when she goes up to the water, she’ll point and say “agua”. Nice generalization, kid!
We had to go to Safeway to pick up a few things and while we were in line, she noticed a picture of an apple, pointed to it, and yelled “apple!” After we left the store she started to whine and kept saying “apple” over and over again. Each time, I’d have to say “I don’t have any.” Check out this video to see her response. Yay for toddlerhood.
Mirian captured Janie saying “parque” today. That’s “park” in Spanish! So cute!
I’m so proud of this little girl’s self-feeding skills. Check her out! She’s using a grown-up fork to pick up spaghetti and most of it actually ends up in her mouth. Amazing. She’s also saying “dada”, “mama”, and “gogo” in this video. My favorite is when she says “num-num-num” in response to how much she’s enjoying her dinner. That’s my girl!!

Yai is what Janie calls her maternal grandmother in Thai. Now she can actually say it!
How can I NOT give it to her when she’s using her words?! And this is what her hair looks like after we take the pigtails out. Not pretty.
Janie just started imitating the word “apple”. Not sure she knows what it means yet.
