I don’t know what was going on exactly in this series of photos but they make me smile.
family selfie
We tried to take a family photo selfie today but Peanut was almost asleep and Janie was too busy drinking milk. We’ll just have to try again tomorrow when the time is right.
lazy day
We had a nice lazy day at the cabin.
Here is Thomas surfing the internet with his uncle.
Toni sat on Ama’s lap this afternoon once Peanut fell asleep.
Janie got run around and explore the giant cabin and went to see the sun go down from the terrace outside our bedroom with Mama.
Surprise Egg
Janie opened a surprise egg today and Dada helped her put the tiny Barbie together. I think she just likes opening the egg more than the toy inside.
Quality Time
It’s great to have this extended time with the grandparents.
Ama and Peanut spent a lot of time together today.
Peanut and Ankong also had a nice conversation before dinner.

Just Peanut
This afternoon, Dada, Mama, and Auntie Jia took just Peanut on a trip to the supermarket.
Maybe he felt really special because he was in a super good mood – even in the car!!
new experiences
Today, Janie learned about making a fire with Dada and played a little pool with Ankong.
She also learned how to play hide-and-seek with Ama.
Here she is counting to 10.
There’s Ama!!!
morning at the cabin
The grandparents got some good quality time with all their grandkids this morning.
Ferry Ride
This evening, we all drove down to the ferry terminal. We parked the minivan onto the boat and then took the elevator up to where the cafeteria and other amenities were located.
Janie sat down with Ankong and Ama by the window. It was too dark outside to see anything so she snacked on a rice krispy treat.
Once at the cabin, Janie had story time with Ankong. She got some new Dr. Seuss books from them!
Amelia’s House
This afternoon, we went to Auntie Amy and Amelia’s house for an early dinner. Janie and Amelia played in their “clubhouse” and shared stickers.
Janie also got her first box of 3 kinder surprise eggs! Thanks, Uncle Alvin and Auntie Kelly!
Uncle Eric bought and butchered a whole pig for the family.
The little girls ate together and looked like two best friends gabbing about this and that.
Peanut also got pretty fussy this afternoon but Aunties Kelly and Lori were able to calm him down.
Here’s a group photo of all the kids together: Thomas, Toni, Amelia, Ellie, Janie, and Peanut (left to right).
