Watch us grow!
Auntie Stephanie traveled back to California with her family this weekend! The kids got to hang out with Sophie, Avia, Vivian, Henry, and Hudson just like old times! We also met Vivian’s little brother Ethan for the first time.
They played “Just Dance” on our Nintendo Switch with the dads while Mommy got caught up with her old friends from Children’s Hospital.
Janie went to a work event with Mama after her swim class today and the restaurant had a sandbox!
She enjoyed playing with Henry and Hudson while Mama hung out with her work people.
Look at how much the kids have grown!
Mommy ran a 5K with her team this morning. The Start and Finish Line were right next to Janie’s school so they were able to watch Mama finish and enjoy the post-race snacks. We all rode our bikes home after the race was done.
Peanut had a busy day at school and after. He had a special assembly and watched the Kindergarteners put on a puppet show. You can see him in the blue shirt covering his ears. Weird.
Then he played in the sandbox with his friends.
He also learned how to clean up after snack.
The teachers also took a photo of him napping. So cute…
Afterschool, we went to Mama’s old graduate school to show the students what normal development looks like. Auntie Teresa, Henry, and Hudson also participated.
This afternoon, we drove to a park in Oakland to celebrate Hudson’s birthday. It was the first time we had both kids riding in the back in their new seats. It looks so spacious back there now.
Once we arrived, Janie found Henry playing under the tree picking flowers. She found a California poppy.
We put up out pop-up tent next to Henry’s and the kids played together rather nicely.
We also had a good gathering of friends in our tent for snacks.
Hudson loved his birthday cupcake and ate the whole thing.
Auntie Teresa makes the best carrot cake and also made these special Brown Bear cupcakes for the occasion.
Peanut still doesn’t like cake, just in case you were wondering.
Peanut contributed to the birthday book with lots of cool scribbles.
The kids passed out on the drive home. What a fun party!
They also took a bath together when they woke up.
Tia Patty opened her own sensory gym this year and invited us over for an afternoon of fun.
Peanut hung out in the ball swing with Max who is 10 days older.
There was a train table that he enjoyed destroying.
He also went for a ride on the little burros. First the brown one and then the gray one.
Janie had just as much fun swinging, crawling, jumping, and climbing.
The ball pit with lights underneath was by far her favorite part.
She and Sophie had a fun time together like two little girls in a hot tub.
Meanwhile, Peanut hung out in the pillow pit with Max, Liam, and McKenna. The twins were born just hours after he was at the same hospital!!
Hudson and Henry also came and had a good time.
Sabrina had fun at the train table too but was a little shy around the other kids.
It was so much fun to see all the kids and Mamas all together in one place.

Here’s a video of Janie on the trapeze. She wasn’t as fast as her friend Sophie but pretty good for her first try.

This morning, Dada left for another business trip – this time to Paris. As soon as he left, Mama and the kids headed out to Auntie Teresa’s house. Janie was excited to meet Henry’s baby brother. She said to Mama “YOU saw the baby but I didn’t”. When we arrived, Janie found a spot by the window so do some drawing.
Meanwhile, this was the scene in Henry’s bedroom. Mama snapped photos while the boys played. That lasted probably a couple minutes before Henry wanted in on the action and Peanut was crawling up Mama’s leg for attention.

We went to Mama’s work party tonight and everyone brought their kids. Janie and Sophie were back together again and they had a great time!

Peanut also got to socialize and hung out with his buddy Max who is 10 days older.
He got to hang out with Aunties Stephanie and Amy.
There was some snuggle time with MaryAnn, Sandy, and Holly too!!
This social little guy ate up all the attention.
Peanut, Henry, and Auntie Teresa also played on the couch for a while. SO many friends!
At the end of the night, the two big girls played a mean game of foosball with the Henry and Avia.
We also brought Janie’s PJs to put on for the ride home. What a fun party!
Today, Peanut went to Oakland with Mama to have lunch with Auntie Teresa and Henry.
They bought us cookies and Peanut got to sniff Mama’s cookie. He didn’t even bother opening his mouth. Meanwhile, Henry chowed down on his piece.
We had some gifts to delver in Oakland today and Peanut did a great job playing with his toys while Mama waited for her lunch.
He also had fun with Auntie Stephanie and Auntie Teresa today.
