This evening, we took Yai and Ta to Hang Ten Broiler for dinner. We had some yummy crab, catfish, and shrimp!

It was rainy today but that didn’t stop our little monster from having fun outside!

Yai and Ta have been in town since Wednesday and have been a big help with the kids. After dropping them off at school, they went sightseeing and then got back in time to pick up both kids.

When everyone got home, we had dinner and enjoyed each other’s company.

This evening, we went to Lawry’s for dinner. We all piled into the van together and met up with Uncle Johnny, Auntie Joy, and kids.

One of the perks of this restaurant are the meatballs and kettle chips that are waiting for you in the bar. Peanut filled up on prime meatballs before we were even seated.

Everything tastes better on a stick!

We also realized that this was Peanut’s first dinner at Lawry’s! It had also been at 3 years since Janie dined here as well.

It was also Leela’s first trip to Lawry’s. Too bad she’s not old enough to taste anything yet.

We kept the little one entertained with some toys at the table.

Janie got her very own kids plate complete with 4-ounce slice of prime rib, creamed corn, and mashed potato.

The kids each got a cool Lawry’s cup too!

What a fun dinner with the family!!

It was a super hot day in Cerritos so we stayed indoors all day. Peanut also got a little trim.

Cousin Alice also came over for the afternoon and the kids played until it was time for bed.

We drove down to Cerritos late last night after dinner and made it here by 1:30am. The kids woke up early and played with Ta.

It was time to drive back to Alameda today so after a quiet morning at Yai and Ta’s house, we headed back up the highway.

Alice gave Janie a big hug when it was time to leave and Janie was in tears as we drove away.

Luckily both kids fell asleep for the first part of the drive.

Peanut also did a good job keeping himself entertained.

He liked this picture that Mama drew of him and Janie.

Halfway through the drive, we stopped at Kettleman City. The kids had fun in the convenience store – mostly because it was air-conditioned and they didn’t have to sit in the car anymore.

It was over 100 degrees outside so we visited Bravo Farms for a snack. Peanut was checking out the jelly beans and tried so hard to hang one of the bags back onto the display.

This was a nice stop for the family and we made it home smoothly the rest of the trip.

This morning, Uncle Johnny brought Cousin Alice over to play. They also brought breakfast so the kids sat together around the table to eat.

Peanut also did some relaxin’ and snackin’ on the cough next to Ta.

Around lunch time, Auntie Joy brought Cousin Leela over.

She joined the group for some coloring at the table.

Ta picked up Thai food for everyone and Uncle Jason brought over Toni and Thomas.

The “triplets” sat together on the floor while Alice and Janie hung out.

Of course an afternoon would not be complete without having a little rest time on Ta’s tummy.

This afternoon, the kids spent time in the backyard while Ta was doing some gardening. Peanut found the bucket of water and started scooping. That’s when the pants came off.

He got a refill on the water and went to work.

He worked on scooping and pouring the water onto the plants.

Meanwhile the girls played in the sandbox and made soup.

We’ve arrive in Cerritos and Ta had concrete poured on half his backyard. It’s perfect for trying out this riding toy outside.

The kids also got to play in the sandbox and Ta built a while ago.
