Day with Yai

Janie stayed home with Yai today while Peanut went to school for the day.

They took the bus to Southshore Center and had Chipotle for lunch.

Janie ordered her own food and then scored a candy pop from See’s afterward.

They later picked up Peanut from school and played on the swings when they got home. Mama and Dada were went to a concert tonight in Berkeley and wouldn’t be back until late.

Peanut also did some sweeping in front of the house before dinner.

Yai made macaroni for the kids and they gobbled it all up.

Janie finally figured out how to pump a swing! Not only that, she can start on her own without anyone giving her the first push. Woohoo! She was beaming with pride all evening. In the second video, you can hear her saying “I can’t believe I’m doing this all by myself.”

This afternoon while Thomas and Toni napped, Janie practiced pumping the swing while Peanut practiced holding on without tipping forward or backwards.

We got a surprise visit from Zoe and Maya this morning.

Later in the afternoon, Rowan and Isla came over to play and stayed for dinner.

On the way home from soccer, we stopped at the Mission Bay Kids’ Park. Some of her soccer pals were also there to do some climbing with her.

Meanwhile, Peanut played on the toddler structure and slide with Dada.

He also did some swinging and rocking.

Janie later joined her little brother and did some dual sliding with him.

Peanut also did some spinning and then the kids joined two other kids on the 4-person teeter-totter.

Beresford Park

We drove down to San Mateo to meet up with Auntie Vyl, Rowan, and Isla. There was plenty of room to play and ride so we brought the tricycle and Strider.
