We went to Liberty Park this morning. The kids played while the grown-ups ran around the track.
Pumping a Swing
This kid picked up the concept of pumping a swing so early!
Fall Break
Dada is enjoying his time with Janie during this Fall Break. Today, they went to Aquatech for RecSwim. Janie showed off her swimming skills to Dada and then they had pizza for lunch.
They later went to Peanut’s school for their Thanksgiving presentation and then played on the swings before Mama returned from work.
Giggles
Peanut gets so giggly on the swing.
Playground Fun
Peanut knows Gavin and Collin’s names now and so excited to hang out with them too.
He also loves the swings and does a great job holding on.
School Pals
This evening, I found Peanut talking to a dad and little boy on the other side of the greenbelt. It turned out to be one his his classmates Ethan. They were so happy to see each other and played on the slide and swings together. It’s so fun to have so many friends living in our neighborhood!
Neighborhood BBQ
This afternoon, we all gathered in front of Ellie’s house for a BBQ with 4 other families. The kids enjoyed helping themselves to the water. Gavin helped Peanut fill up his cup.
We had tables under the tree and the kids had fun sitting together with their snacks.
Peanut had his fair share of watermelon slices this evening and his shirt was a big mess by the end of the day.
He also had a corn on the cob with cool holders on the side.
Here’s our attempt at a group photo of all the kids – including the littlest guy born just a few weeks ago. From left to right: Ellie, Janie, Collin, Gavin, David, Francisco, Daniel, Peanut, Juliano, and Miguel.
Swinging with Yai
Peanut did some swinging and singing with Yai today.
2-year Visit
Peanut had his 2-year check-up. He still hates being weighed and measured. Janie came along to keep him company.
Here are the stats:
Weight: 29 lbs, 13 oz (82nd percentile) – slimming down
Length: 33 in (10th percentile) – we’ve got a shortstack
Dr. Kaplan also gave him his first (sugarfree) lollipop and he loved it.
After the appointment, we went to the playground at Dolores Park.
The kids went down the long curvy slide together.
They also played on the swings before we headed back over the bridge to Alameda.
Fun Friday
Peanut had a dentist appointment today and Janie tagged along for the day. Their favorite part of going to see Uncle Randy is the waiting area with old video game machines.
After the appointment, we stopped for bagels.
Blueberry bagels were a hit with both kids.
Then we met up with Avia and Sophie at Arbolada Park. They have a cool dual swing that’s perfect for these two.
After nap time, Janie went to Fenton’s with Mama to say goodbye to another co-worker.
The girls were delighted to have ice cream before dinner!!
