Before Bed

I couldn’t resist getting photos of her playing peek-a-boo in just a diaper. Silly baby.
Girl in Yellow
Living in SF means bundling up almost every day of the year. Janie has a few outfits that are suited for warm weather and we had to try some of them on to see if they would still fit for our trip to Hawaii next week. This jumper came from Auntie Susie last year and it still fits!! The hat was way too big before and she’s grown into it! Perfect.
Here’s a shot of her back in November when she was 6 months old.

Playdate!
The Cheeksters were at it again this afternoon. It was a gorgeous San Francisco day and perfect for a playdate!
Auntie Ranee and Sophie took BART all the way over to the city to see us!!
We started outside at Justin Herman Plaza where there was plenty of activity and a big long wall for cruising.
Then we moved inside to the Hyatt where there was a nice empty space with lots of squishy carpet and chairs to pull up on. Check out this budding friendship.
Awww…so cute.
Unfortunately it wasn’t all smiles and giggles. Janie got accidentally conked on the forehead with a toy that Sophie was holding. She was fine but Sophie felt so bad.
The best thing about being kids is that the tears never really last too long and they were back to playing in no time. 
They both seemed to enjoy looking out the window together.
Janie had so much fun with Sophie today! Come over again soon!
And thanks to the Hyatt for not kicking us out of their lobby. Tee hee!
Sandals
Janie got some new sandals last week and she tried them out for the first time today. 
They fit perfectly and she’s going to test them out today on our outing!
Playing
I love watching her play.
She’s also enjoying her new found skill of standing without holding on, which makes it fun to hold two toys at a time!
And there she is with her favorite shovel. Just wait ’til you figure out what it’s actually for, Janie!!
Standing
Look who’s standing and doing a little bit of squatting too.
Kitchen
Janie likes to hang out while Koa’s eating his kibble and we have to make sure she’s on her best behavior. I don’t think he likes being watched while he eats. She also enjoys holding onto the drawer handles lately. The kitchen is so new and fun to her right now.
10 months
Boy oh boy! This girl is growing and MOVING!! Janie is 10 months old today and it has been a wild month.
As you can see in this monthly photo, it is nearly impossible to get her to sit still.
Here are some highlights from this past month:
- Janie grew two more teeth on the bottom.
- She’s trying to stand on her own and has been able to balance for almost 10 seconds.
- She’s also cruising along furniture!
- Her crawling has become much faster and she gets all around the house on her own now.
- Janie went to her first Super Bowl party at Uncle Jason’s house.
- She celebrated her first Chinese New Year with all her pals.
- Janie has her own “room” now and sleeps there every night.
- She’s been sleeping through the night most nights and it can last up to 11.5 hours some nights. If she wakes up, she calms herself down now. Aaaah…sleep.
- Janie has learned the word “no”. This has helped keep her out of Koa’s food bowl.
- She’s babbling more and more with lots of combinations of vowels and consonants.
- New foods: soba, spaghetti, watermelon, salmon, and peas.
- She rode the carousel for the first time with Mirian.
- Janie has recently discovered my pen and how to make marks on paper.
- We’re in the raspberry stage now.
Our little explorer is getting harder to keep up with but it’s so much fun to see her get around and cause trouble.
