This morning, Janie wanted to hold her brother before heading to school. She’s so sweet to him and loves to snuggle him. She often says, “He’s too heavy!” She also says, “He’s squishing me!” Yes yes…he’s getting pretty chunky!
The kids also took a couple photos with Yai today.
Janie is such a ham sometimes.
We’ve been very fortunate that Janie has not shown any jealousy toward her baby brother. Instead, she just wants to be a helper and stay involved. At the same time, her attention to Peanut is usually fleeting and she will then resume play on her own.
She’s very sweet to him and his new nickname is Olaf. It’s because she is Elsa, Mama is Anna, Dada is Kristoff, and Koa is Sven. Her love of all things Frozen has made a comeback after a year-long hiatus.
When we picked up Janie from preschool today, she was busy playing with a big bowl of water beads. They start out as hard pellets and get bigger and squishy like boba when soaked in water.
School has some neat stuff!!
Dada was able to pick her up with Mama this afternoon and Janie was so happy.
She really likes her teachers Denise and Sharla and give them hugs everyday before she leaves. This makes Mama very happy.
Janie loves her baby brother and will ask to hold him at least once a day.

This morning, the whole family had to get dressed ready all at the same time.
Janie hung out and snuggled Peanut before we all piled into the car to drop her off at school.
Good Morning, Everyone!!
One of Janie’s favorite stuffed animals is her precious Big GG. This evening, she asked Mama for a bottle because she said her “baby is hungry”.
She takes very good care of her baby.
Afterschool, Janie worked on the paper puppets that Auntie Teresa gave her. Peanut was passed out in Mama’s lap after eating.
Peanut was so sleepy that we could put him in the boppy pillow for some snuggles from big sis.
Thanks for the puppets, Auntie Teresa! They’re so fun to make!
The drive home was super quick. Hospital was only a mile from home.
Janie was so happy to see her family back home again. She also asked, “did you bring Peanut?!”
Here he is in his new bed. So tiny still.
Janie couldn’t wait to snuggle her baby brother and remembered that she was supposed to wash her hands before touching him. She was also very eager to help change his diaper. She also kept saying, “I want to rock him!” I guess we’re gonna need a little rocker for him.
Before bed, she gave him a big hug and a kiss. Before today, she had been reluctant to give him a kiss. She also learned how to offer him the pacifier instead of just trying to push it into his mouth.
His nails are super long even after we cut them so he needed a sock on his hand.
Good night, little guy. We hope you don’t keep Mama up all night again.
This morning, Janie took Muni with Yai to visit Peanut.
Mama ordered lemon Jello for her as a special treat.
She had her treat at the table while Dada ate the breakfast that she had brought for him.
While she waited for Peanut to wake up, she lounged in Mama’s bed and watched Frozen on the big screen.
She also had some snuggle time with Dada during the movie.
Once Peanut woke up, she got to hold him and give him big hugs.
Not sure he’s a fan of the big sister hugs yet but it’s still cute.
Janie loves her baby cousins Thomas and Toni.
This evening, she watched them get their diapers changed.
She also tried to help put on Toni’s sock.
The babies were both awake at the same time so we finally got a photo taken of all three cousins together for the first time.
Janie was so sweet and calm with them and didn’t get flustered when they started to cry.
In fact, you can see in this video that she tried to calm down Toni with a little snuggle and patting.
