Look at that smug look on her face. This was this morning’s text message between Daddy and Mommy:

She’s impressively sneaky and Daddy’s certainly a sucker for all that cuteness. We’re in big trouble.
Watch us grow!

We got up early to go to the California Academy of Sciences. We renewed our membership so Janie will get to go as much as she wants for the next 12 months! Yippee!

The last time she was at the Academy, she wasn’t able to walk yet so today’s new found freedom was so delightful for her. We spent most of the time down in the aquarium. There was so much to see and so many places to explore on foot!

She looks so grown up in this photo with her arms swinging as she walks.

Her favorite was the big reef exhibit with stairs. The stairs were actually her favorite part. She could have spent all day just going up and down those steps.

Here’s Janie in front of an orca skeleton. It’s “built for speed” and so is this little trouble-maker.

With all that running around, Janie had to stop for a little cheese snack…of course.

Then it was back to the fun!

We were done by noon and just in time for her nap. What an exciting morning!

Janie’s in a good mood this morning and she’s got her sneaky face on already.

She also tried drinking her milk from a straw cup today. She didn’t quite finish it but it’s a good start.

That’s an interesting no-teeth smile she’s got going on there. It looks like she’s up to something.
Janie came along for all our errands, which meant lots of rides in the shopping cart. She seems to really enjoy it.

This is Janie at Costco last night trying to steal a taste of Mommy’s lemonade.

Here she is at Trader Joe’s going for lazy mode setting on the shopping cart seat.

And here she is at Home Depot. She’s not so sure what her mom and dad are up to today.

This is her sneaky look. I wonder what she’s up to now…

A certain baby did not want to go back to sleep this morning.

Look at that mischievous grin.
