First Day of School Part 2

After a whole year of remote learning, it’s the First Day of In-person School!! Yaaaaay! Peanut finally gets to attend Amelia Earhart School and see his teacher and classmates in person. It will be abbreviated but still worth the trouble.

With the different start and end times, we made arrangements for Janie to ride her bike to school with Maya, her older brother, and some other 5th graders. She was super excited about that.

Peanut also rode his bike to school with Mama and Dada. This is similar to how we walked KK to school on her first day of Kindergarten.

When we arrived, we took a couple photos and then went to the gate to meet his teacher, Ms. Wells. They all lined up 6 feet apart and then walked into the classroom together. So cute.

Here’s a side-by-side of Janie and Peanut’s first day of Kindergarten. So similar but so different at the same time.

This pink microwave toy was one of Peanut’s favorite toys at school and at Uncle Jimmy’s house. Auntie Eleen found one on Facebook and got it for him. He was so happy to finally have his own. Thank you, Auntie Eleen!!

Last Day

What a fun week it has been and now it’s the last day in Hawaii for us.

As usual, the kids were up early to have one last dip in the ocean before washing up and packing all our things.

Until next time!!!

Peanut made sure to have his Southwest airplane in hand when we took off.

Rest from the Sun

Today was a rest day from the sun. It was also Toni and Thomas’ last day in Hawaii.

On our walk to the food court, we saw a Mama duck and her ducklings going for a walk too.

The kids love going up and down this escalator at the Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center.

At the food court, we got a special treat at Kokoro Cafe. It’s called a Shaka-Boom: waffle shaka filled with chocolate sauce and topped with Dole Whip and rainbow sprinkles. Yum!

We also spent the afternoon in our room. The kids had a fun time together.

For dinner, we went to another food court and got one last family photo together before Toni and Thomas left for the airport.
