Mama picked up Peanut from school and brought him home for a little TLC. His teeth were really hurting. Later in the evening, we headed to the ferry terminal to pick up Janie and Dada for dinner.

He was so happy to see his big sister.

For dinner, we went to La Penca Azul so that Peanut could have some mushy food – refried beans and rice.

These two had a fun time sitting next to each other at the table. Although, I’m not sure how much food was actually consumed this evening.

They did, however, love the ice cold water they got from the waiter.

We’ve had these glasses for over a month now and each time we put them on him, he closes his eyes, cries, and pulls them off. This afternoon, while he was watching Octonauts with Janie, I put them on and kept them on long enough to look through them. Surprisingly, he didn’t get upset and kept them on! In fact, he kept them on for at least 30 minutes and seemed to find the cartoon a little more interesting than usual. You could see his eyes moving left and right on the TV screen as if he had never seen so clearly before. Likely, that’s been the case.

Mama showed him what he looked like in Mama’s phone and he took a selfie of himself.

He looks so adorable in his glasses and they fit him really well too. There’s an elastic band in the back that keeps it snug on his face. Unfortunately, the lenses fog up sometimes when he’s running around or crying.

Later this evening, he wore them again and this time it was for almost an hour.
He ran around, climbed, and played “treasure hunt” with his big sister with the glasses on the whole time!

We took this picture together to mark this milestone for our little boy.

This evening, Mama and Peanut picked up Dada and Janie from the ferry and then headed into town for dinner at Hang 10 Broiler. We ordered the dungeness crab and had to wear bibs because it was gonna be so messy.

They also have tasty garlic butter shrimp very similar to what we usually get in Hawaii. What a tasty dinner and a great way to kick off the weekend!

This is one of the kids’ favorite dinners – Japanese Curry!! They eat with such gusto whenever they eat it.

When we got back from the run, Janie was up so the two kids played together. The kazoos from Hudson’s party came out and they made quite a ruckus.
It’s so funny how Peanut loves to copy his big sister.

They also got to watch Paw Patrol together while Dada was making breakfast.

Right after Gavin’s party, we headed over to Uncle Jimmy’s house for his birthday party. They have fun toys out on their patio and our kids took full advantage of them.

Maya and Zoe joined in on the fun too!

Peanut had part of his meal with the little ladies.

The kids also enjoyed hanging out on their carpeted stairs without a safety gate to stop the little one.

Why is he always looking like he’s up to no good?!

We love Friday evenings. The kids get to play as late as they want and everyone is in a good mood because it’s the start of the weekend. This evening they were particularly fond of each other.

At dinner, the kids had their stuffies kissing at the table. I don’t know why they were at the table to begin with.

After dinner, the kids took at bath together and actually did a good job sharing.

Afterward, they played together very nicely in Peanut’s room for the first time. They made instruments together and played a song for Mama.

And then they rolled around on the carpet. I forget how novel carpet is to these two crazy kids.

It was a particularly hot day today in Alameda. Janie came in from her afterschool playtime all sweaty and hot.

Peanut just smelled like sunscreen from school.
