Lately all the kids want to do is make funny faces when I try to take a photo of them. So, here you go!
Good Morning!!
Look who kicked Mama and Dada out of their bed this morning!
Silly Peanut
This guy is always doing something funny. He certainly lives life to its fullest.
Oakland Zoo
We went to the Oakland Zoo this afternoon.
We started at the Children’s Zoo and Peanut thought it was so funny that they had a door that was just his size!
The kids love the new gondola and look forward to the ride every time we visit the zoo.
Janie rode the new glider at the new playground.
The rides just outside of the park are fun too.
Soda Springs – Day 2
After a good night’s rest, the kids were back on the slopes for another day of snowboarding. They were so excited to see the snow shuttle arrive.
Janie rode the longer learning run today and was really getting the hang of stopping.
Ferry Adventure
We took the ferry to San Francisco today and it was a very rainy/windy day.
The waves were pretty choppy and rough but we made it across in one piece.
It was also high tide and The Embarcadero was flooded by the high waves.
After lunch, we stopped at Boudin and Peanut scored a free turtle bun!
In true Peanut style, he tore all the legs off and put them on his fingers. What a joker.
The ride back was just as choppy but super short since Alameda was the first stop. What an adventure!
Day with Daddy

Peanut stayed home with Daddy today. It was Pajama Day at Janie’s school and I guess he had a Pajama Morning at breakfast. They went out out to Jim’s by the Course and had quite a feast.

After breakfast, they hung out in bed until lunch time.

It’s nice to see that he changed into regular clothes for his lunch outing.
Back to the Beach
This afternoon, we headed back to the beach for some more time in the ocean and sand.
There was lots of floating around today!
After the beach, the kids had an ice cream cone.
Then we went to Edge Bar to watch the sun go down.
What a fun day!
Matsumoto Shave Ice
After lunch at Giovanni’s shrimp truck, we stopped at Matsumoto Shave Ice. Yummy!
On the drive back to the hotel, the kids got a good car nap.
Dole Plantation
We drove to the Dole Pineapple Plantation today and the kids were amused by the tiny pineapples growing out of the ground.
We also took a ride on the Pineapple Express and got a tour of the grounds, learned how pineapples are grown, and saw a variety of different trees and plants.
Peanut was excited to see a coconut tree.
The kids had a fun time exploring the garden on the way to the cafe.
As we waited for our Dole Whip, Peanut got a bag of chips and was found doing a little dance. Funny guy.
