Peanut figured out how to eat cereal with milk just like his big sister. Breakfast just got easier and messier.
Lawry’s
This evening, we went to Lawry’s for dinner. We all piled into the van together and met up with Uncle Johnny, Auntie Joy, and kids.
One of the perks of this restaurant are the meatballs and kettle chips that are waiting for you in the bar. Peanut filled up on prime meatballs before we were even seated.
Everything tastes better on a stick!
We also realized that this was Peanut’s first dinner at Lawry’s! It had also been at 3 years since Janie dined here as well.
It was also Leela’s first trip to Lawry’s. Too bad she’s not old enough to taste anything yet.
We kept the little one entertained with some toys at the table.
Janie got her very own kids plate complete with 4-ounce slice of prime rib, creamed corn, and mashed potato.
The kids each got a cool Lawry’s cup too!
What a fun dinner with the family!!
Souplantation
We had dinner at Souplantation today and the kids loved the food. Peanut especially enjoyed the soup and noodles.
This is one of Toni and Thomas’ favorite places to eat.
Chipotle on the Patio
We had lunch at Chipotle today. It was warm outside so we got to eat on their patio.
Early Bird Class
Mama dropped Peanut off this morning in his usual Early Bird classroom. He knows this routine so well. We wash hands, sit down, Mama lays out his breakfast, he opens the yogurt, and Mama leaves. Today, Mama stuck around to get a video and he was a little confused. You can see him pointing to the door telling Mama to go. Funny guy.
Sick Day
Peanut woke up covered in puke this morning. After a bath, he sat down for breakfast with Janie. He seemed to be acting like his old self so Mama took him to school. Just as she arrived a work, there was an urgent call from the school saying he was shivering, his lips were bluish, and his hands were really cold. So, Mama rushed back to school to pick him up. As we were checking out, Peanut threw up again – all over Mama and then again all over the floor of the school lobby. Yuck.
At home, Peanut got a second bath and seemed to be just fine again.
After the bath, his lips turned blue again and he seemed really tired.
So, he sat down in front of the tv and fell asleep sitting up.
Poor baby was wiped out.
The advice nurse said to keep him on only clear liquids for the day and that’s what we did.
After his nap on the sofa, he perked up and did some coloring.
Then he had some clear chicken broth for lunch and couldn’t get enough. He must have been starving.
Luckily, he didn’t have a fever, didn’t turn blue again, and kept all the water and broth down. He seemed well by bedtime.
Boo-beh-behs
This boy LOVES blueberries. This video could make anyone want to eat them.
Afterschool Snack and Pre-Dinner
Peanut comes home pretty hungry from school. Today, he had peaches and actually ate the skin!
It was also getting late so he had a pre-dinner of rice soup.
Rice!!
This boy loves rice just like his Dada.
Breakfast
Peanut gets dropped off at school so early in the morning that we pack a breakfast for him. Lately he’s been enjoying yogurt and chicken/spinach sausage.
