Janie went to Disneyland again on Christmas Eve. She was able to do more, see more, and understand more this year.
In the morning, we went to Fantasyland to get her on the Dumbo ride! Luckily it was early enough that she could tolerate standing in the line and seemed to be ok with the ride itself.
She did surprisingly well with waiting in line all day. We can’t bring the stroller into the line and she was pretty good about staying close-by and not causing too much trouble.
Here she is watching the three kids behind us in the Monsters Inc. line. She was pretty amused by them and tried to copy their moves.
Now that she’s walking, running, and climbing, Disneyland was so much more interesting this year.
She got a lot of practice on the stairs everywhere. Up and down…up and down…
It was Baby Alice’s first trip and they were twinsies!!
There was so much to see and hear!! It was so cute to see her waving to the people on the steamboat as they passed by.
The fountain at the Cozy Cone was pretty fun to watch too.
All the activity and excitement really makes a little girl work up an appetite.
She got her very first kid’s meal and gobbled up all the broccoli. Spaghetti is always a hit too.
It was also a warm 80 degrees so she was treated with some frozen lemonade.
For dinner, she loved the green beans and fried chicken at the Plaza Inn.
Janie met Mommy’s friends Chip and Dale today. She was a little unsure but managed to fake a smile.
She also met Minnie Mouse and actually smiled and waved to her.
We also took Janie on the Finding Nemo Submarine ride again this year and she did SO much better. Some of the explosions and stuff startled her but she didn’t cry like last year. The bubbles and fish were just enough to keep her entertained. Good job, Baby!
She liked the lights at It’s a Small World but was pretty tired and sleepy by the time we got onto the ride.
What a fun day with the family!! Merry Christmas, Everyone!
