We took Yai out to Hang Ten Broiler for crab but they did not have crab today. Instead, we ordered lots of shrimp made two different ways. Still tasty.
Peanut also tried a lemon wedge and said it was “spicy”. Haha.
Watch us grow!

After lunch, we stopped at Creamistry for a little dry ice show and a yummy treat. Look at this funny trio of kids!!
The ice cream is made with dry ice and the kids loved seeing the mist come down.
The girls shared their Cinnamon Toast Crunch ice cream while Peanut was left behind.
Luckily Mama came prepared with a fruit pouch for him.
We also got a nice family photo together before heading back to the house.
Going to the breakfast buffet each morning has been a great way to start the day. There was plenty of food for everyone to enjoy at their own pace.
This morning, Janie brought her camera along and we snapped a few candids during our meal. She took this of her little brother waiting for Mama to get him more food.
Dada took this photo of Janie in her seat. ]
Then Janie took this photo of Mama and Peanut – and her fingers too.
Mama took this photo of Janie and Dada. Pretty funny…
We went to California Academy of Sciences today and met up with Uncle Bang, Rowan, and Isla.
We arrived a bit early so Peanut got to explore the tunnel for the first time.
He would get so excited to see the fish and touch the glass. It must be nice for him to be able to cruise along the exhibits on his own now.

In this video, you can hear his squeals of delight.
At lunch, we ate in the patio and Peanut got a nice view of the kids playing while he ate.

After he finished eating, he crawled around on the grass and wasn’t quite sure what his hands and feet were feeling.
The big kids had fun running around together and they posed for a few silly photos too.
Peanut had his cool shoes on this morning and got to enjoy the Ferry Plaza on foot for a bit.

He was delighted to be out of the stroller with his sister.
This is our sad attempt at a family photo by the Bay Bridge. Apparently, the kids weren’t in a picture-taking mood at the time.
April is the Janie’s birthday month and since we were in Cerritos, we had small lunch for her with her grandparents. We took her to a local Thai restaurant and she was so excited to get her own fresh coconut.
She got a few presents from Ama and Ankong.
She also got an Octonauts playset from Uncle Johnny, Auntie Joy, and Alice.
Peanut had a good time snacking alongside the family and Ankong helped him throughout the meal.
He had quite a feast of tofu and carrots but a lot of it ended up on the floor too.
When lunch was done, we brought out an ice cream cake with candles. This little girl was so delighted.
She blew out her candles (with a little help from Daddy at the end) and then got a big slice for herself.

We bought a Groupon to Oakland Zoo a while back and since everyone we know has a membership, it was the perfect time to meet up! Sophie, Avia, and Vivian joined us this morning for some fun and Janie was so excited to be there! She even wore her safari hat.
Janie rode the gondola for the first time with Dada and got to see lots of animals you can only view from above.
Little Guy got to meet the giraffes at the zoo today.
And Peanut saw an elephant for the first time. Not sure if he could actually see him.
These two girls ran around together throughout the morning.
It’s not Hawaii but the zoo is not bad too.
We watched an elephant grab something to eat out of the tube hanging above. I think the kids and grown-ups were equally amused.
Peanut was a little fussy today but his big sister came by to check up on him once in a while.
At the children’s area, Peanut got to ride in the carrier for a bit and then posed with a tortoise statue before it started to rain.
The morning ended with a ride on the train.
There was a nice view of the bay from there.
They also had some carnival rides nearby and Janie was fired up to drive the car. Vivian also got to drive from the backseat. I love how every seat has a steering wheel.

Not sure why she had such a mean scowl on her face during the ride.
Looks like she’s tall enough to fly the plane!
She flew all on her own and it’s funny to see that she still has the scowl that we all know and loved when she was a baby.
What a fun morning at the zoo! We’re so happy that our friends could join us too!
This afternoon at 4pm, the kids were treated to a lion dance show in celebration of the new lunar new year. Daddy joined her at the show because she was telling us that it was too scary for her a couple nights ago.
It turned out to be not as scary as she thought but I’m sure she was relieved to have Daddy there with her.
I’m surprised she touched the lion.
Here’s her very classic response to the lion. When it approaches, she stands back, puts her hands on her hips, and scowls at it. Hilarious.

Here’s some of the show.
This is Peanut’s game face. He’s ready for the Super Bowl. EEERRR!
And now he’s practicing his celebratory face. If this kid keeps growing at the rate he is now, he should be ready to play football in no time.
Peanut had another try of avocado today and did much better. He still made funny faces but he swallowed quite a bit and would smile after.
Look at that avocado face!!
