Janie wanted Peanut to sleep in her room tonight so we gave it a try. They read books together and then fell asleep.
Unfortunately, it didn’t last long because Janie woke up with an earache and ended up sleeping with Dada and Mama slept in her bed next to Peanut for the rest of the night. Oh well, it was a good try.
We’re still working on pooping in the potty/toilet. This guy told Mama he had to poo-poo but nothing came out.
Dada had the day off so Janie got to stay home too. While Mama was at work and Peanut was at school, they went on an Alameda Adventure together. They took the bus to the main Alameda Library and read some books together.
Then then headed to Chipotle for some lunch. This kid really loves Chipotle.
Afterward, they stopped at See’s Candies and Janie got a candy pop to enjoy in the sun.
Janie does two pages from her reading workbook every morning on the ferry ride to school. Some of it is easy and some of it requires explanation from Dada.
Janie took a crack at her first Word Search today.
Peanut gave his big sister a smooch today.
Before bed, they watched a video together in Peanut’s room. Dada also read a book with Peanut. This is the view from our new webcam in his room.
One of his favorite books is “Brown Bear, Brown Bear”. He’s getting pretty good at naming the animals with their colors.
Unfortunately, in this video, he was being a jokester – calling everything a cow and saying that everything says “bok-bok” (his sound for a chicken). We’ve got a very silly boy in this house.
The kids sat down with their books this morning before breakfast. Ah…so nice.
She’s getting pretty fast with her reading.
