Busy Tuesday
This morning, Peanut played alphabet BINGO with his classmates.
He also did some painting/art.
When Mama arrived to pick him up, he was in the middle of making a bracelet.
When he was done, he said “This is for you, Mama!”
Journal
This morning, Mama volunteered in Janie’s classroom and she got to read some of her journal entries to her.
Monday
It’s Monday again! The morning started with a story on the rug with Ms. Lupita.
Then Peanut made cakes with Ethan.
In the evening, the kids had popsicles for dessert.
Before bed, they both laid down for some quiet reading.
Reading to Brother
I love catching Janie doing Big Sister stuff all on her own.
The Mouse and the Motorcycle
This was one of Mama’s favorite books as a kid and Janie coincidentally borrowed it from the library today with Dada. It’s great to see that she’s reading chapter books now.
Day with Ama and Ankong
The kids spent the day with Ama and Ankong. Janie did some crafts and then read a few books in the morning.
Ama also took them to the neighborhood park.
In the afternoon, they went over to Toni and Thomas’ house to play.
They also had dinner together!! So fun!
Stories with Sister
This is so sweet. It’s nice that they have each other.
Siblings
I love how these two hang out together. It’s like Peanut has reached an age where he can communicate and follow directions well enough to play with his big sister in a productive way.
Janie has also taken the role of Big Sister very seriously. She takes such good care of her brother despite all the frustrating moments throughout the day. So proud of her.
Late Dinner
We went to Tomatina for dinner this evening but there was going to be a 20-minute wait. So, we went next door to the local bookstore to do some browsing and reading.
Once we were seated, the kids stayed busy with their workbooks.
Peanut loved his kid’s spaghetti and Janie had pizza. Yum!
