We visited the giant Christmas tree in Union Square tonight.

Janie has been pointing to our tree and saying her version of “lights” so I figured she may want to see the really big tree with lots of lights.

‘Tis the season!!
Watch us grow!

We visited the giant Christmas tree in Union Square tonight.

Janie has been pointing to our tree and saying her version of “lights” so I figured she may want to see the really big tree with lots of lights.

‘Tis the season!!

Janie has started getting excited when she sees herself in the camera phone. She even says “CHEESE!” I think we’re going to be seeing a lot more selfies in the near future.

This morning, Mommy’s cousin Andrew came to visit with Great Uncle Sak. He is visiting from North Carolina! She took him out for a walk along Embarcadero to see the sights. Too bad it was almost naptime while we were taking our photos.

At the Giraffe Lodge, Janie got to see the big GGs this afternoon. In the past couple weeks, she’s been able to identify giraffes in books and even on Alice’s blanket. Now she gets to see them in real life too!!

At 3:45, the giraffes got to go inside for a snack and we got to see them up close!

Janie was so excited and amazed at the same time.

This one looked right at her!

Before bed, Janie and Mommy just hung out on the couch together.

She was especially giggly and snuggly and now says “cheese” when she sees a camera.

Now we can finally get some photos of her smiling.

And here are some “selfies” that she took of herself when she got her hands on Mommy’s phone.

She knows which button to tap to take a photo.

We all went for Dim Sum today and Janie was a little unsure of the waterfall in the atrium.

What she was sure of though was the bao that she got to eat! Yum!

We had to wait to be seated for lunch today so Janie got to explore the Ferry Plaza.

I love that Janie is able to recognize her loved ones and names them more consistently now. This iPad is coming in handy!

Janie took a little drive down to San Jose to visit family. She rode in the carseat next to Alice.

Here is Janie with Ta and Great Uncle Sak.

Alice slept through the visit and Janie wanted to poke her so badly.

Afterward, we stopped for lunch in Chinatown. Janie helped herself to some tasty porridge and noodles.

Then she walked back to the car with Ta. What a big girl!
Janie and Alice got some good quality time together today.
