We celebrated the new year at 12:00 am EST this evening. Both kids passed out shortly afterward. Aaaahh…
We’re looking forward to all the adventures that are in store for us in 2017!! Happy New Year, Everyone!!

After lunch, we stopped at Creamistry for a little dry ice show and a yummy treat. Look at this funny trio of kids!!

The ice cream is made with dry ice and the kids loved seeing the mist come down.

The girls shared their Cinnamon Toast Crunch ice cream while Peanut was left behind.

Luckily Mama came prepared with a fruit pouch for him.

We also got a nice family photo together before heading back to the house.

Janie had a solo lunch with Mama and Dada before heading over to the movie theater.

In the lobby, she took a photo with Lego Batman.

Inside the theater, there were reclining couches for everyone.

She liked parts of the movie like Hei-Hei and Pua but also cried through parts too. She said the lava witch waw scary. *sigh*

We went to Knott’s Berry Farm today and they were all decorated for Christmas. It was Janie’s first visit and possibly Dada’s too. Snoopy was at the entrance to greet us and Janie was excited to show him her Snoopy t-shirt.

While we waited for the rest of the family to arrive, we walked around Ghost Town and she got a peek at an old school house.

Then it was off to Camp Snoopy for some rides!!!

Alice arrived and Janie was so happy to see her.

They rode the airplane ride while Peanut took some pictures with Snoopy.

Toni and Thomas also came along and they rode the train together.

Peanut learned how to say “choo-choo” and pump his arm.

For lunch, we went to the Knott’s Fried Chicken Restaurant.

Peanut swiped one of Mama’s drumsticks off her plate.

Then it was back into the park for more rides. The girls rode the Kite Flyer next.

Weeeeee!!

The lines were unusually long today but the girls entertained themselves really well.

On the Huff-n-Puff, the ride was kid-powered.

Peanut was still too short for a lot of the rides so he spent some time playing in the play area and walking around with Yai.

The girls went on the big bus ride with Dada and Uncle Johnny. Janie said it was a lot of fun.

In the afternoon, we found Santa Snoopy and got a family photos taken.

By the end of the day, Janie had chocolate on her face and jello stains on her shirt. It was a good day for this girl.

For Christmas, we went to Uncle Jason and Auntie Jia’s house. Dada prepared a standing rib roast today and used a blowtorch to prep the meat.

Thomas and Toni got a front-row seat to the fiery action.

Mama, Peanut, and Janie arrived a little later and were ready to play!

Dinner was delicious and Janie enjoyed sitting with her family.

After dinner, the kids opened presents. There were SO MANY presents!!

Merry Christmas, Everyone!!

For the 5th year in a row, we went to Disneyland for Christmas Eve. Yaaaaay!! We lucked out on the weather given the huge rain storm we had overnight.

Our first ride was “It’s a Small World” and the line was super short.

Peanut was very excited for a boat ride and Dada was not “keeping all arms and hands inside the boat”.

This little guy couldn’t help dancing and clapping to the festive music.

We later went to Fantasyland and rode Peter Pan, which was Janie and Peanut’s first time.

While Peanut took a nap, Janie went on Dumbo with Dada.

Then it was off to the carousel for a spin.

Before lunch, we took a stroll down Main Street. What a gorgeous day it was today!

Peanut loved walking and exploring. This year is so much for fun for him compared to last year!

At Carnation Cafe, Janie had the “make your own sandwich” meal complete with goldfish-shaped bread!

During the Christmas Parade, Mama and Dada went on some fast rides.

We then went to Tomorrowland and Janie got a Driver’s License and tried driving a car with Mama’s help.

The Astro Orbiter was also a fun ride for Janie.

Somehow we managed to squeeze the three of us into the rocket while Peanut watched from the sidelines.

We tried going on Astro Blasters but Janie was too scared to actually use the laser gun. Peanut liked the joystick for spinning the car.

We tried taking a family photo in front of the castle.

We also caught the “Paint the Night” Parade from our dinner table at Plaza Inn tonight. Janie was so happy to see Elsa on her ice castle.

Peanut also enjoyed the parade and danced along.

Janie eventually fell asleep in the stroller but Peanut was still wide awake so he got a ride on Dumbo with Mama and Dada. Weee!!!

After the kids went to bed, Mama and Dada went back to the park for a couple more hours to finish the night.

Merry Christmas, Everyone!!!

Mama and Peanut had one last morning together in Hawaii. After picking up some coffee for Mama, we went to the beach to watch the sun come up.

Once Dada and Janie woke up, they went back to the pool one last time while Mama started packing. We have to head home today…oh boo.

Until next time, Hawaii House! We had a really fun time and can’t wait to book our next trip!!

After the pool, we all went out to the ocean one last time. Peanut was so happy to be floating in the waves again.

Janie also learned how to float today so she held Dada’s hand and floated with him like a pair of sea otters.

After the beach, the girls got ice cream. Janie really deserved this treat after conquering her fear of the big slide and learning how to float.

Aaaaah…so happy.

One of our favorite things to do is to end the day on the beach. This time, everyone went into the ocean!!

These kids had a great time in the water.

This little guy was so happy to be floating around and bobbing with the waves that rushed by.

As the sun was setting, we all got out of the water and hung out on the sand.

These two girls just couldn’t get enough of the sand and water.

It’s so much fun to have the whole family in the pool at one time. Luckily, Peanut loves floating around so we can spend as much time as we want in the water.
