6-year Check-up

Janie went to see her pediatrician today for her 6-year well child visit.

She had her blood pressure and hearing checked.

Dr. Kaplan also told us that she will be leaving the practice this summer so we had our final visit with her today and reminisced about how much both kids have grown.

Here’s a photo of Janie during one of her early visits with her doctor.

We also got one final photo with her today and said our goodbyes. We loved our doctor. She was smart, funny, and very practical.

She also gives the kids lollipops.

Pool Party!!

Janie had her 6th birthday party today and it was at Aquatech!!

The kids got an hour of free swim with all the floaties and toys available to them.

Peanut didn’t want to swim so he had lots of snacks.

After swimming, we all had pizza and snacks.

Then it was time for the birthday cake!

Henry and Hudson loved it.

Here are all the kids in one photo.

Janie also got a photo with her swim instructor who helped host the party.

Happy 6th Birthday, Big Girl!

Tilden Park

IMG_3477
We visited Tilden Park today and it was Peanut’s first time! Our first stop was Little Farm and we made sure to bring plenty of celery this time around.

The last time we were here, Janie was around the same age and she was terrified of the cows. This time, she was super excited to feed them and did a great job getting up close.

Peanut was a little hesitant at first but once he saw what his big sister was doing, he loved it!

We also saw some chickens, geese, goats, and sheep.

The farm also has a pig and piglets too!!!

Our next stop was the steam train. Peanut was having the best time and it was the best $9 we spent for the family in a while.

IMG_3545

The train takes you on a ride through the redwoods and has a tunnel too.

IMG_3558

Peanut enjoyed it so much that he wanted to go again and cried when we said we had to go home. Instead we watched it leave with the next batch of people and he was able to give the train a proper goodbye.

Fun in the Snow

IMG_3114
Day 2 on the slopes started out with a great attitude and excitement. Unfortunately, she got sad in the middle, cried, and ended up sitting in the daycare center for a good part of her lesson. It was very disappointing for all of us and it’s unfortunate that the instructors didn’t encourage her to go back on the slopes earlier. She got a few good runs in but Mama didn’t get the chance to take any videos today.

Meanwhile, Peanut woke up from his nap too early and got to play in the snow for a bit.

IMG_3119

He also took a walk down to the lodge and watched the ski lesson from up top.

Back at the cabin, there was plenty of snow to play with just outside of the livingroom.

They made snowballs and threw them onto the frozen lake below.

We also played with Mama’s tripod and remote control to get a family photo taken.
