The day as arrived! The movers came at 8am this morning and started taking things away to the truck. They worked very quickly and the truck was stuffed.
Maya came to hang out and stayed until we drove away. It was so sad.
Watch us grow!

The kids were playing with bubbles in the driveway today. We managed to capture the moment Maya popped a bubble.
Our community pool was closed all last summer and finally opened yesterday. This was such as treat. Peanut even exclaimed “I can’t believe we’re doing this!”
There’s a reservation system and we can have up to 6 people in our party. So, we invited Maya and Alek to join us. They had so much fun!
We went to Godfrey Park after school today with Maya. They did a great job safely following Mama on their bikes.
The playground in front of our house has been closed for a full year and it finally re-opened today! Woohoo!! The neighborhood kids are so happy.
While Janie has been in SoCal for the summer, her friend Maya is back at home missing her. What’s nice is that they can still call each other over Facetime and play Roblox together.
It’s Peanut’s Graduation Day from preschool. He started as a Honeybee when he was 20 months old and went all the way up to the Pre-Kindergarten class. With the pandemic and shelter-in-place, graduation was modified to a drive-by event. We lined up in our cars and Auntie Eleen decorated their minivan for the occasion.
When it was Peanut’s turn, his teachers were there to greet him and presented him with a certificate and tassel.
His buddy Ethan was also right behind us in their car!
Afterward, we met up at the ferry parking lot to take some photos.
Here is Peanut with his buddy Maya. Thanks for the candy lei!!
Congratulations to our Peanut!! Kindergarten, here we come!
This kids love being outside. Msaya came out to play for a bit and then the kids had lunch in the pop-up tent.
Maya (her friend from the neighborhood and school), drew some pictures and wrote her a note outside our house. Janie saw it later and called her over Facetime. It’s nice to see that they can still “hang out” during this weird time.
It’s Peanut’s third day at home with Dada and Janie. Today, they had leftover Chinese food for lunch.
Janie also had an art class led by the art teacher at Yu Ying. She learned how to draw an octopus and Bulbasaur.
Peanut did a reading lesson in his book today. Today, he had to practice writing the letters “c” and “d”.
He also drew a truck and mini truck being pulled by the bigger truck. Mama helped him write “BEEP BEEP!”
Leela called Janie from Yai’s house today.
Janie’s friend, Maya, from the neighborhood came by while she was riding her bike. They were able to say “hi” to each other from a distance.
