Babies from 3-6 months of age are often considered the Gigglers because of their greater tendency to socialize, smile, and giggle. This was certainly true for our Little Janie. This was the time when she started to really enjoy our company, smiled at people through FaceTime, and got her first belly laughs. This video is an example of how she’s learned to anticipate my behaviors and actions and we got lots of giggles out of this game.

We hear Janie laugh or giggle most days but tonight we heard some real belly laughs. What’s so funny? Well, Koa is, apparently. I was sitting behind her when it happened so you can’t really see her face but you can hear the laughs and it’s awesome.

This is how we spend a lot of our mornings. I take care of stuff around the house while Janie plays with her toys. She’s gotten a lot better at sitting but still needs some pillow bumpers because she’s still a little tippy to the sides.

Janie’s loved this game since she was very young and somehow it hasn’t gotten old with her. This was taken today (at 24 weeks of age) and you can clearly see that this game can go on for quite a while still. I posted this for Uncle Jason, who also got a kick out of this the first time he saw it in action.

After a week of boogies and difficulty sleeping at night, our little girl is back to her happy self. Phew.

Janie was in a good mood this afternoon. Here she is giving me a big smile after her diaper change.

Janie is 16 weeks old today! She’s been home with Daddy and Yai this week and it’s been a smooth transition so far. Her nighttime sleep schedule has been a little out of whack but it seems to be going back to normal. We weighed her today and it looks like she’s about 17 pounds now! It’s no wonder she’s wearing her 6-month clothes now.
Janie must love Auntie Yoon’s company because she had her first giggles today.
This morning, Janie was in a good mood and we took turns laughing. Apparently she’s amused by my terrible imitation of Elmo’s laugh.
