Peanut has been moved up from Little Tiger to the white-black class. That means he’s in class at the same time as Janie! Yippee!!

Look at him learning his new routine!

Janie received her Yellow-Black Belt today at the end of class. Yaaay!

Janie had her second belt test and performed all of her Yellow Belt skills today.
Self-Defense Move
Yellow Belt Routine
Yellow Belt Kick – this took 3 tries but she broke the board into 3 pieces!

We are so proud of our little kung fu girl!

Janie donned some gloves and practice her punching today.
Then she did a little sparring with one of the SiFus.
Peanut did a little punching and blocking himself!

Peanut posed in his kung fu stance before making the jump off the step.

It’s Day 3 of “make-up weekend” and the kids powered through their second day straight of kung fu.

Peanut also had a swim make-up and got a little loopy by the end of the day.

Peanut had a make-up kung fu class today and there were only 4 kids in the class! We should do this more often!

Janie went to Kung Fu this morning and they presented Janie with her Yellow Belt from her test a couple weeks ago.

We are so proud of her!

Janie had her first Kung Fu belt test. She’s currently a white-black belt and hoping to move up to solid yellow. There were a lot of kids testing today and they all tolerated the 2-hour process quite well.
She had a series of tests. The first one was her self-defense move.
Next was her white-black routine.
The final test was her kick. She had never tried kicking a board before but if she has the technique right, it will break the board in half. And she did on the first try! Yay!

During the whole test, Peanut played with Natalie’s little sister.

We are so proud of this tough little girl!
