Watch us grow!
This afternoon, the whole family came to pick up Janie from school. We found her at the water table with two boys.
She was jumping for joy when she saw us at the door.
Before heading home, we went out for ramen as an early dinner. We were impressed by how well she twirls noodles on her fork now and she was apparently very hungry this afternoon!
She still loves noodles!
Meanwhile, poor Peanut just sat there watching us eat. One day you’ll get some noodles!!
Janie and Peanut went to Zoe’s 3rd birthday party today.
It was at a sensory gym that had lots of swings and a huge trampoline.

They served pizza and fruit and Janie sat next to the birthday girl at the table.
Peanut slept for part of the time and then had 3 poopy diapers including a blow-out with outfit change on the last one.
It was nice a warm today so Janie got to run around without a sweater on and had the best time out on The Embarcadero today.
She blew bubbles, ran up and down the sidewalk, and climbed the concrete blocks.
She also showed off her new-found ability: jumping OFF the concrete blocks all by herself! There she goes!
Today we rode the train to Burlingame for Rowan and Uncle Bang’s birthdays.
Once we arrived, we found them all at the park and Janie finally figured out how to sustain a good bounce in a bounce house.
Once that happened, she was hooked!
They had pizza at the party and Janie ate all the olives and onions off the pizza.
The playground was pretty cool too and she played with Reese and Jack.
Before heading home, Janie licked all the frosting off the cupcake and didn’t eat any cake.
On our way home, Janie played the straw violin for Mama to hear.
Janie turned 29 months today and what a month it has been!
I took these photos while we were on our Saturday morning outing. My little baby is turning into quite the little girl. Here are some highlights from this past month:
Weight 29 pounds. Height 35.5 inches. Shoes Size 6/7. Clothes 2T/3T. Diapers Size 5/6.

Janie still loves to jump off things. This step stool is the perfect height.

Janie loves being free from the stroller. Here she is jumping off the cement blocks.
She was particularly interested in the water crashing on the pier today. She also opted to leave her pants on under her skirt. We had put them on so that she could play on the slide and she didn’t want to take them off after.
In between all of her exploring, she managed to stop for a picture with Mommy.
Here’s a video of Janie jumping and playing with Karla at the museum today. You can hear her call out “Abby”, which is what Mirian calls her. It’s her middle name.
This morning, Janie and Sophie had a zoo date. They saw giraffes, rhinos, penguins, a hippo, polar bears, and two grizzly bears up-close.
They actually interacted with each other more than ever before – copying one another throughout the morning.
I guess the age gap is getting smaller and it’s more than just parallel play now. At one point when we got separated, Janie stopped in her tracks to ask where Sophie was. When I asked, “should we go back and find her?” She quickly said, “YES.”
It looks like they had a good time today and hopefully we can have more of these outings even after Sophie’s little sister arrives. Here’s a video the two cheeksters together:
In the afternoon, Janie rode her scooter to Hog Island Oyster Co.
It took a really long time for us to get there at her pace and luckily she was willing to take a break after about 20 minutes of scooting.
It was a beautiful day to be outside.

She tried all kinds of seafood. She had some smoked sturgeon from Mommy’s oyster fork.
She also tried baby octopus for the first time.
She loved the seafood stew (of course!) because it was a “SOUP!”
Ah…what a tasty dinner. Time to burn it all off with a scooter ride home!
