Watch us grow!
Yai arrived this afternoon and she was reflecting on it felt like just yesterday that we had brought Janie home from the hospital.
Now Janie’s standing and cruising and it’s getting harder to keep up with her. Janie had a good time playing with Yai and showing off all her new tricks.
Unfortunately, she was way too excited that evening and protested when we put her down for the night.
The Cheeksters were at it again this afternoon. It was a gorgeous San Francisco day and perfect for a playdate!
Auntie Ranee and Sophie took BART all the way over to the city to see us!!
We started outside at Justin Herman Plaza where there was plenty of activity and a big long wall for cruising.
Then we moved inside to the Hyatt where there was a nice empty space with lots of squishy carpet and chairs to pull up on. Check out this budding friendship.
Awww…so cute.
Unfortunately it wasn’t all smiles and giggles. Janie got accidentally conked on the forehead with a toy that Sophie was holding. She was fine but Sophie felt so bad.
The best thing about being kids is that the tears never really last too long and they were back to playing in no time. 
They both seemed to enjoy looking out the window together.
Janie had so much fun with Sophie today! Come over again soon!
And thanks to the Hyatt for not kicking us out of their lobby. Tee hee!
This is what happened after I said “NO!” when she was gnawing on the table. Oh boy oh boy. We’re going to have our hands full pretty soon.
Lately this is what it looks like when Janie poops. I try to give her prune juice but this comes with the territory when she starts more solid foods. She has a very distinct cry when she’s pooping and she’ll stop in her tracks to get it out. Poor baby.
Now that she can pull to stand, Janie can do a full-on protest at bedtime. Oh goody.
Apparently Janie is the only kid I know who doesn’t like bubbles…at least right now.
Janie turned 37 weeks old today! She’s less than 100 days away from her 1st birthday too. What’s up with that?! She woke up just in time to ring in the new year with her family this week and she’s getting very close to crawling.
She also hadn’t pooped this year. She waited until this evening, 1/4/13, for her first one and it was not fun for her.
That’s why this week’s photo with Senor Fatty Duck Duck is not filled with the usual smiles. Oh well.
I wasn’t planning to have Janie meet Santa but he happened to be at Disney’s CA Adventure today on Christmas Eve. 
She liked his beard but wasn’t so sure of him.
Janie went to the doctor today for a belated 4-month visit. The doctor was on vacation around the time Janie turned 4 months so we waited until now to see her.
At 4 months and 22 days old, here are the stats:
Weight: 18 lbs, 3 oz (98th percentile)
Length: 25.75 inches (83rd percentile)
Head Circumference: 41.5 cm
Looks like she’s above average in both weight and height and the doctor says she looks great.
Janie also got another set of immunizations and this time she took the oral meds well but then somehow knew what was coming up next.

As soon as the nurse started swabbing her legs with the alcohol wipes, she had a big ol’ frown on her face and was crying way before the poking started. Poor baby. Luckily her recovery was quick and so far she hasn’t been fussy or feverish.
Today Janie went to the Farmer’s Market and enjoyed a sunny Saturday afternoon along the Embarcadero.
I think her little toes loved the breeze and sunshine the most.
Unfortunately, it was about 45 minutes before her 3 pm bottle when we got home and this is what happened next. She was hangry (hungry + angry)!
