This morning, Janie helped make her oatmeal by cutting the package open, dumping it into the bowl, and stirring after Mommy poured the hot water.
Morning with Dada
It’s nice having Dada back.
Cooking
Janie was preparing salad and other treats today on her stove.
She also packed Mama’s lunch with lots of healthy veggies.
Packing Lunch
Mama has to pack Janie’s lunch everyday and this morning, Janie helped by peeling her hard-boiled egg.
Cooking
This afternoon, Chef Janie made bell pepper and celery soup. She also ended up eating all the veggies too.
She said that “GoGo” doesn’t like bell peppers so she gave him only celery soup.
Stuffed Animal Daycare
This afternoon, Janie put all her stuffed animal friends down for a nap. Little GG slept on the rocking chair.
Olaf was on the reading chair.
The elephant, otter, GoGo, and Squirt were all in the clubhouse. Unfortunately, Janie only pretended to sleep.
When everyone woke up from their naps, she served snack on the floor to everyone.
It was purple meatballs for everyone!
She later served tea and also made a rock salad.
Although she didn’t take a nap, she was very well behaved and played quietly by herself for at least 1.5 hours today.
Pancakes
Our little pancake helper got to work this morning on the batter.
Then while Mama cooked them on the stove, she made a pretend phone cal to Auntie Jia. She looks like such a little teenager here.

Of course, when they were ready, she gobbled up her fair share of the stacks. Not sure if she likes pancakes or syrup more.
Lots of Tea Parties
Lately, Janie has been having lots of tea parties with her pals. This morning, as soon as she woke up, she set one up with GG, Otter, and Squirt.
She’s also very much into cooking so we went to IKEA today to get some bowls, plates, and utensils. They’re really for eating but they’re also good for pretend play.
Here, she’s making celery soup. She’s getting lots of practice with cutting with a knife and fork this week.
Looks like everyone is having a great time!
Monday
This morning, Janie went with Mama to her doctor appointment. She waited patiently with Mama and stayed quiet during the visit.
As a reward, we went to The Disney Store. We did some browsing and Janie said “hello” to Nemo and Sven Reindeer.
Upstairs, they have a coloring area and she got a Winnie the Pooh picture.
What’s funny is that they had every color except yellow!
They also played clips from different movies and she watched one of the Lilo and Stitch songs as well as one from Frozen.
In the afternoon, we went outside for a tea party.
Then she had a tasty snack of carrots, tomatoes, flatbread, and hummus.
Later in the evening, I found her rolling around with GG inside her laundry hamper.
Cooking Lessons

She also helped spread the jelly on her PB&J sandwich. She’s well on her way to being Mama and Dada’s sous chef.
