We went to the playground again this morning and Janie is going up and down the slide on her own like a pro. Look how fast she zooms down on her butt!
She still likes sliding down on her tummy too.
Watch us grow!

It was Opening Day for the Giants but the game was in Arizona.

So, they opened AT&T Park to the public and Janie got to run around the ballpark tonight.

Weeeeee!!!

Man! Not tall enough to ride the big Coke bottle slide!!

It was so fun to run around the empty ballpark tonight!
Janie went out for a walk with Ta this evening. She got to explore Mommy’s old elementary school parking lot. It’s funny that she’s running around in her pjs.
She’s so confident in her ability to go up and down the curbs that she tried it with her arms crossed. It makes Mommy nervous but she’s got it.
Here she is running around some more. At the end of the video, you can see Yai and Ta’s House (also known as the “Magical House”) in the background.
Around the corner, she spotted a neighborhood cat and went after him. Janie’s pretty fast but that cat was still faster.

This afternoon, Janie watched old videos of Koa on the TV. She loved watching them and kept saying “more!” The coffee table is also her new favorite place to sit.

Janie went to the CA Academy of Sciences again today and had a blast. She seemed more interested in the fish today and stuck around for more than just a couple seconds to admire the fish.

She also got an up-close view of a rattlesnake. The glass was so clear it felt like you could just reach out and touch it.

In the rainforest, Janie got to see some butterflies really up-close. She also tried to copy a little girl climbing on the fence.

We spent some time underwater in the flooded rainforest tube.

She sat quietly next to Daddy with her bag of snacks.

She also enjoyed her water next to the baby giraffe.

When she saw the (stuffed) lions, she roared back at them.

She also got to ride this uh…bear?

For lunch, we walked to Pacific Catch and Janie played with sunglasses while we waited for a table.

During lunch, Janie tried to use chopsticks and was also proudly saying “TWO!” as she showed us how many of them she had.

Mommy had the day off today so Janie took a quick early nap and then went out for lunch with Dada.

She was really antsy at lunch but luckily a little lemonade in your butterfly water cup can really help distract a girl.

After lunch, she ran around Yerba Buena Gardens to burn off some of her rainy-day energy. She chased the pigeons, went up and down steps, and climbed on a few benches.

Once we got home, both Janie and Mommy took a two-hour nap. Aaaah…that was just what we needed.

Janie turned 22 months old today! This month has been a month of language and new concepts. It’s been really hard to keep up with all the new words that she’s learned. Here are some highlights from this past month:

Happy 22 Months, KK!!! Love you!

The first time I took her to this museum, she could barely walk. Now look at her!
We’re in trouble now! Let’s just hope the jumping doesn’t come in for another month or so.

Mirian was sick today so Mommy had to stay home. After a morning of errands, Janie took a long nap and then woke up for some fun time at home with Mommy.

She figured out how to climb up onto the coffee table and got to watch a little Blue’s Clues with her water and doggie friend.

Of course the day wouldn’t be complete without a couple tears. Not sure what this was for but it was short-lived.

Then we opened up the AquaDoodle mat that we got from the store. Here she is bringing it over with Mommy’s shoes on again.

What fun! And no mess!!

Pretty…
