Janie had so much fun seeing Auntie Jia and Uncle Jason this weekend. We miss having them around all the time and are so happy they were able to join us for Thanksgiving this year. See you in December!!

The kids decided that they wanted to walk back to the house. It was slow-going but Janie and Toni made it all the way home while Peanut made it halfway, and Thomas got a ride for most of the way.

Once we got back to the house, it was lunchtime for the toddlers. Looks like a daycare in here!

For breakfast, we went to Chinatown for some jook. Everyone loves Washington Bakery and the kids ate well.

Just outside of the restaurant are a bunch of toy machines. Janie did a great job eating and staying in her chair so we treated her to a “surprise egg”.

After dinner, we watched part of Finding Dory together.

We had pecan pie and ice cream for dessert. Look at this swarm of toddlers surrounding Auntie Jia and her dessert.

The kids took turns getting tastes of ice cream. Yum!

After all three toddlers took a late nap, they woke up refreshed and ready to play.

Meanwhile Dada made Thanksgiving dinner for us all.

Peanut was getting hungry and wanted Thanksgiving to start right way.

We had all the usual fixings and Janie helped set the table.

Peanut had his first Thanksgiving meal and loved the turkey.

He also got a small portion of all the sides and loved using his fork to stab everything.

Janie especially loved her Dada’s mashed potatoes. She says they’re the best.

Everyone enjoyed the tasty feast and it was so much fun to have Uncle Jason and Auntie Jia back in town.

Uncle Jason and Auntie Jia drove up yesterday and came over today with Toni and Thomas. Janie gave Thomas a great big hug when they arrived.

The kids played together and Auntie Jia took some really cute photos of everyone while Mama was at work.

These guys are so cute together!!

Uncle Jason spent some quality time with his little Mini Me.

The house was full of activity and it was so much fun to watch.

For dinner, we went to R&G for some salt and pepper crab. The twins and Peanut gobbled up all the cauliflower and pasta that Mama made along with some noodles.

Janie had a bunch of crab (thanks to Dada) and some tasty soup, rice, and noodles too.

It was a fun dinner but we sure did leave quite a triple toddler mess!

The kids went to Pretend City this morning and met up with Toni, Thomas, and Alice. Peanut loved driving the car.

The twins also got their own cars and they cruised next to eat other for a bit.

Janie built a box with Dada while Alice supervised. Peanut also tried to assist but was more destructive than helpful.

He later tried it out and it made a good place to contain him.

Janie enjoyed the pretend grocery store complete with cash registers, shelves and baskets that were just her size.

The kids played with the ATM and Janie later found the pretend house with a kitchen at her height.

For lunch, we went to Wahoo’s Fish Tacos at The Spectrum.

Everyone ate well today – especially this guy who kicked back in his highchair and enjoyed gobs of fish, beans, and rice.

Toni and Thomas came over this morning to play. Uncle Jesse and Toni Jessie were reunited.

Uncle Jason and his Mini-Me were also reunited.

It was fun to see the cousins playing together.

Thomas tried to give Peanut a kiss.

They also had a snack and read a book together with Auntie Jia.

We definitely had a full house today and it was so much fun!

We drove straight to Royal Garden from the airpot for dim sum with all of KK and Peanut’s uncles, aunties, and cousins.

We had been looking forward to this weekend for a very long time and it was so nice to see everyone.

Peanut got right to work on lunch and tried using a fork on his own today.

He had such a good time poking and eating on his own.

Look how popular Auntie Jia was today.

Janie was so happy to see her cousins Alice and Toni.

At one points, all 5 kids were at the fountain together but it was pretty impossible to get them to stay in one place and look at the camera at once.

This was the perfect way to kick off the long weekend and we had a satisfying meal after a long morning of travel.

This little boy turned ONE today and we celebrated with a little party with the family.

He wore his birthday shirt and had a fun time with the whole family.

Uncle Kenneth brought water balloons and the girls had a fun time in the front yard.

Meanwhile, the cousins were reunited and played together.

Doesn’t he look so cute in between his two grandfathers?!

His favorite part of the party was lunch. We ordered Thai food and he gobbled up handfuls of noodles and watermelon.

Our baby hippo had a little hippo candle on his cake.

There was singing and lots of crying when it was cake time.

I’m not sure how I got a smile out of him because he cried through the birthday song and didn’t want anything to do with his cake.

Big sister Janie blew out the candle for him and enjoyed her own piece of cake with Auntie Jia.

Happy 1st Birthday, Baby Boy!
