Watch us grow!
Auntie Jia and Uncle Jason came over for dinner tonight. Yay! It had been almost a month since we last saw them.
Instead of going out, we ordered Indian food and had it delivered. Janie had a good helping of palak paneer with basmati rice. What a good eater!
After dinner, Janie gave Uncle Jason a back massage and was pretty proud of herself too.
Auntie Jia taught Janie how to cut her plastic veggies with the plastic knife today.
She’s on track for that cooking show: knife skills – CHECK!
We had dinner with Auntie Jia and Uncle Jason tonight. You can’t tell from this picture but Janie had just thrown up in the car and had to be cleaned up in the bathroom at the restaurant. Luckily I had this jacket because I didn’t bring an extra shirt. Not sure why she threw up but she still had an appetite for green beans, rice, and fish.
Dinner was yummy and they also had a big fish tank by the front door. Wow, what a big fish.
Saturday night was the formal dinner on the cruise ship so we took a family portrait.
Janie got to wear the pretty dress she got for Christmas and looked like a little lady with her menu.
Janie slept alright up to 2 am and then she couldn’t go back to sleep until we put her in the stroller. When she woke up, she was back to her happy self. Here she is wandering the long halls of our floor.
When we got to the Lido deck, we could see Ensenada from the window. Auntie Jia showed her the birds that were hanging out nearby.
Before heading out, Janie had a hearty bowl of oatmeal. Good job!
Janie is on her way to Long Beach today!
It’s her first cruise and she’s headed to Ensenada, Mexico. We we boarded, she got a good view of the ship.

Before we left the harbor, Ama and Ankong took her to the buffet for a snack.
Janie woke up from a monster noon nap with an equally big appetite.
She sat down for noodles with Auntie Jia and had a good time sitting at the grown-up table using a grown-up fork to eat the noodles that Ama made.
It’s fun to watch her figure stuff out and we feel so lucky to have a little girl who enjoys eating.
And of course, she did NOT want any help. Luckily she was just fine on her own today.
This morning, Janie had a fun playing with the piano and imitating Auntie Jia and Mommy’s movements. She would play a few notes and then clap for herself while saying “Bravo!”

We were watching Sound of Music when Janie rolled up in her car.
It’s like a Drive-in Theater!
Later that day, she helped Auntie Jia get through the Drive-thru.
Janie loves playing with Auntie Jia and she came over with Uncle Jason tonight for dinner.
