In the evening, we had another celebration for the birthday boy. It was at Royal Garden, which is where Mama and Dada had their wedding banquet and big sister’s 1st birthday dinner.

It was quite a feast and we finished the night with another cake. And once again, the little guy did NOT want any cake. Seriously!? Who is this kid?!

Janie chose to sit at the other table with Auntie Jia and had her photo taken by one of her aunties at the table.

Thanks to Ankong for the dinner!! Peanut had a great time!

April is the Janie’s birthday month and since we were in Cerritos, we had small lunch for her with her grandparents. We took her to a local Thai restaurant and she was so excited to get her own fresh coconut.

She got a few presents from Ama and Ankong.

She also got an Octonauts playset from Uncle Johnny, Auntie Joy, and Alice.

Peanut had a good time snacking alongside the family and Ankong helped him throughout the meal.

He had quite a feast of tofu and carrots but a lot of it ended up on the floor too.

When lunch was done, we brought out an ice cream cake with candles. This little girl was so delighted.

She blew out her candles (with a little help from Daddy at the end) and then got a big slice for herself.

We had lunch and the rest of Friday afternoon at Toni and Thomas’ house. Ama and Ankong came over too!

Peanut got to play in the jumparoo while Janie rode her tricycle around the neighborhood.

Janie had a stand-off with Uncle Jason in his car.

This morning we packed up the car and said goodbye to the Buena Park House along with Ankong and Ama. Before heading out, we had lunch with them.

At lunch, Peanut was blowing some pretty big raspberries.

The drive was smooth but we made lots of stops to keep everyone happy. Peanut did pretty good sleeping most of the way and only had one bout of crying. Janie had at least half a hamburger for dinner. We were so proud of her big bites. It’s crazy that this kid eats anything with the exception of things in sandwich form.

Peanut hung out in a highchair while the family ate. He also gave his new teething toy at try.

We made it home in about 8 hours. Not too bad.

Peanut got lots of snuggles from Ankong and Ama at lunch today.

This morning we checked out of the big cabin and piled into the minivan with our stuff.

At the ferry terminal, we waited in line to board and Peanut hung out with Mama in the backseat.

We got to park on the upper deck and then went upstairs to enjoy the view and eat some Tim Bits.

After at 40-minute ride, we all went back to the car and drove off. Ferry rides are fun!

In the afternoon after all the babies woke up from their naps, we all got in the car and drove down to the coast. Peanut was intrigued by the ketchup chips that Dada bought.

We stopped for lunch at a small cafe and Janie got some potato leek soup.

The water was so clear here at Davis Bay Wharf!

The babies were sleeping so this is the best we could do for a group photo.

Janie rode on Uncle Jason’s shoulders for a good part of our time on the wharf.

Peanut eventually woke up so we got some photos taken with him.

We had a nice lazy day at the cabin.

Here is Thomas surfing the internet with his uncle.

Toni sat on Ama’s lap this afternoon once Peanut fell asleep.

Janie got run around and explore the giant cabin and went to see the sun go down from the terrace outside our bedroom with Mama.

It’s great to have this extended time with the grandparents.

Ama and Peanut spent a lot of time together today.

Peanut and Ankong also had a nice conversation before dinner.
