The kids are in a groove now with their distance learning. Nice to see they are still learning and we are thankful the teachers are more organized and more demanding of them this yet.

At the beginning of the pandemic, we were using butcher paper to make lists and schedules on the wall. With the addition of this white board shortly after, it has become the focus of most days. With the new school year and such a complicated schedule, it’s even more useful. We have the week view for each kid and added a star chart to keep them accountable for daily jobs and tasks.

Peanut’s sight word for the week is “see” and he writes a sentence with the word. In one of his pages, he wrote “I see the sub.” Now he is drawing lots and lots of submarines and they have so many intricate details.

The kids all got blue-light-blocking glasses for all the screentime they’ll be getting during distance learning.

It’s also to protect their eyes from all the gaming they do now too.

Today is Dada’s actual birthday so the kids gave him the cards they made for him.

After lunch, we had birthday ice cream cake!

We celebrated Dada’s birthday today at Uncle Jason’s house!! Peanut picked out the cool birthday hats.

Peanut went to Target with Mama today and said he needed sunglasses. So, we found some that fit and he picked out these cool orange ones. He insisted on wearing them out of the store after we paid for them.

We brought the Chromebooks and school work with us! Peanut had his usual Zoom classes this morning.

This is what he did during his breaks.

After Zoom, he got to play on the Nintendo Switch with his cousins.
