This evening before going to bed, Janie was in the mood to play. So, I put her on the floor and turned on the camera just in case she were to roll. And guess what happened next?! She rolled!!! Woohoo! I loved the amused look on her face when she got onto her side. Sorry for all the squealing and cheering on my end. We’ve been working on this for a while. I guess being sick doesn’t keep Janie from reaching her milestones!!! Now…we should work on rolling the other way…heh heh.

I came home today to a baby with a runny nose so I gave her a soothing bath. It seemed to work because she was happy afterward and started to blow raspberries. Funny girl.

Here’s a video of Ankong holding Janie for the first time since June.

I placed Janie on her side and she figured out how to roll onto her back.

I think it’s cute when she plays alone. She makes sounds and entertains herself quite well.

Looks like I found her ticklish spot!

Janie figured out how to use her hands to play the pillow drum. I noticed a patting sound coming from her stroller yesterday and found her doing this on her diaper pad. Today I gave her a pillow and she was drumming away.

Janie went to the doctor today for a belated 4-month visit. The doctor was on vacation around the time Janie turned 4 months so we waited until now to see her.
At 4 months and 22 days old, here are the stats:
Weight: 18 lbs, 3 oz (98th percentile)
Length: 25.75 inches (83rd percentile)
Head Circumference: 41.5 cm
Looks like she’s above average in both weight and height and the doctor says she looks great.

Janie also got another set of immunizations and this time she took the oral meds well but then somehow knew what was coming up next.

As soon as the nurse started swabbing her legs with the alcohol wipes, she had a big ol’ frown on her face and was crying way before the poking started. Poor baby. Luckily her recovery was quick and so far she hasn’t been fussy or feverish.
Janie made up her own dance this week. I first noticed it while I was changing her diaper. Then today I found her doing the dance as she was falling asleep.
