After dropping Janie off at school, they took a walk down to the tailor to pick up Dada’s pants. He was super grabby at the phone this morning while Dada tried to take a photo.

He later took his nap in the stroller while Dada had lunch outside.
Watch us grow!

Today was warm and sunny so Janie practiced riding her Strider while Peanut perused the brunch menu.

We spent most of the day outside and Peanut even got to explore The Embarcadero on foot.

Janie wore her new sunglasses that came in her goody bag from Vivian’s birthday party.

We stopped at Spark Social SF and had a snack on their swinging lounge chairs.

On the way home, we found a patch of grass for Janie to practice her soccer moves.

In the evening, we took a walk around the ballpark and it ended up being a great way for the kids to end their fun-filled day. They both fell asleep by the time we were home and Mama and Dada had an early evening to themselves.

We didn’t have any plans for July 4th so we had pho for lunch and then went to 99 Ranch to do some shopping.

Janie still looks like such a baby when she sleeps. Both kids fell asleep on our drive home from Daly City.

This evening, Peanut was fussy but also didn’t want to go to bed at the same time. After our usual bedtime routine, he was put down but then quickly stood back up in his bed and started to scream. He proceeded to cry and protest for the next 20 minutes but finally put himself to sleep with his blanket and pacifier – all on his own. This is what he looked like when Mama checked on him.

When Mama got home from work today, both kids were napping. Peanut woke up first and then Janie woke up with her little brother about to tackle her.

We later went outside for some warm weather and Janie got to play with water and her Octonauts.

Peanut played with his cups and sat on the grass for a bit.

Peanut and Janie got some good family time in this weekend. Here are photos of Peanut with Yai and Uncle Johnny.

He also got a good laugh from Auntie Joy and Cousin Alice when they tickled his feet.

Janie hung out in the backyard with Ta and a big stick that she found. She claims she was “helping” but it looked more like supervising.

Peanut loved beef chowfun today and ended up as a greasy mess.

The girls tried to take a nap together but that never works out well.

Janie also got to hang out with Auntie Jia, who she misses so much.

Before bed, Peanut found a comfy spot on Ta’s tummy.

This morning, we flew from Oakland to Long Beach. Peanut took his morning nap with Mama while Janie sat with Dada.

When we arrived, it was a comfy 78 degrees and Janie was prepared with her sunglasses in her backpack.

On the way to Yai and Ta’s house, big sis helped little brother with the pacifier. So sweet.

This Memorial Day, Mama had to go to work. Dada was home with both kids and it got off to a rough start.

Luckily there was a schedule to follow and Peanut was happiest when he was eating. Janie took a photo of Dada feeding him his breakfast. We’ve gotta teach her not to cover the lens with her finger.

Later that morning, Dada took them on an adventure to Safeway. Peanut fell asleep in the stroller while Janie helped pick out the groceries.

For lunch, they went to Little Skillet for fried chicken and biscuits.

Peanut had his milk and a second lunch. Dada thinks he ate more chicken than big sister.

When Mama got home in the afternoon, everyone was napping. Looked like Dada had a pretty successful (yet exhausting) day with the kids.

On Sundays, Golden Gate Park closes one of its streets to cars so that people can walk, run, or ride. Janie rode her scooter with Dada on his skateboard while Mama ran with Peanut in the stroller.

Here’s a video of Janie on her scooter. She’s gotten pretty good at using the brake nowadays.

Janie wanted to go another lap so Peanut watched the people dancing. They do Lindy in the Park every Sunday too.

We also went to the California Academy of Sciences since it was just next door.

Peanut loved exploring on his own two feet!!

Janie’s classmate Winston was also there with his family. We had snack together and then met up with them in the aquarium downstairs.

Here’s a photo that Janie took with her camera. She’s getting pretty good with keeping the camera steady.

No Sunday would be complete without a stop at Costco. This time, we bought a two-pound bag of coffee and Janie watched Dada ground it all up at the exit.

What a fun day! Peanut had a good time and was ready to fall asleep right after dinner this evening.

On Saturday morning, Janie rode her scooter to the Farmers Market. She also brought her camera and took photos of all the pretty fruit and flowers!

For lunch, we walked/scootered to Hillstone and Peanut had a fun time hanging out in the patio with the family.

We even got a photo Peanut on Embarcadero around the same age Janie took hers.

Everyone, including Mama, took a nap at the same time this afternoon. So nice. This is what Janie and Dada looked like. So similar…

For dinner, we went to Japan Town. Janie was still so happy to have her Daddy home. This is such as sweet photo.

The kids also posed for a rare photo together.
