Peanut’s teacher is a big Warriors fan. When they won the NBA Championship, she dressed up each of the kids in a jersey and hat for a photo. On the front door of his classroom, there’s a collage of all the kids. Here is Peanut’s photo.
School Fun
Peanut has a pretty good time at school. He also gets plenty messy!
One of his favorite things to do is playing on the riding toys.
He’s also learning how to wash his hands like a big kid.

I love getting photos of Peanut from his teacher. Looks like he gets to do so many different things throughout the day.
I can also see why he comes home filthy every afternoon.
22 months
Our little boy is 22 months old today! It’s hard to believe that in two months he’ll be two years old!!
We had a fun month filled with new concepts, new language, and a trip down to Southern California.
Here are the highlights:
- New Words: outside, all wet, Paw Patrol, sit down, open it, close, yellow, purple, pink, orange, more please, love you, I want, you ok?, push, buckle
- New Food: garbanzo, black olive
- Songs: Baby Beluga, Five Little Monkeys, ABC Song
- New Concepts: Counting to 10 in English and Spanish
- Gross Motor: Mastered riding Moo Cow, figured out how to ride Big Sister’s scooter
- Self-Care: Takes his socks and shoes off, allowing Mama to brush his teeth with less fussing
- Milestone: Tolerated his glasses for the first time and wears when once in a while
- Favorites: books, singing, climbing, blowing bubbles, following sister around
- Travel: Flew to Southern California, moved to a front-facing big-kid carseat
This kid loves school and has learned so much in such a short amount of time. He comes home singing a new song every week and we catch him doing new things like naming colors and throwing away his snack plate when he’s done.

Note for Mama
On the ferry ride to school this morning, Janie wrote a note to Mama.
It says “Mama I wish you wud (would) play boll (ball) with Peanut. I love you. Love KK and Dad”
Fire Drill
When Mama arrived at school this evening, Peanut was just returning from a fire drill. Miss Dani said that he did a good job holding onto the rope and following directions.
