Janie had one more “Wild Things” assembly today and touched the boa.
Spiders
Peanut is learning about bugs this week. They all look so cute looking through the binoculars.
Ants
Peanut made some thumbprint ants today.
Open House
Janie had Open House at school this evening. She was so excited to show me everything she had been working on and made. This is her desk.
There was a big packet of stuff to look through on her desk and all around the room.
We also got a cute photo of her with Ms. Kuoch. Her teacher said “It’s so nice to have Kaylee in my class. If I have a little girl, I want her to her just like her.” A-ha! She really IS teacher’s pet. I can see Daddy rolling his eyes while hearing this.
School is fun.
Peanut always looks like he’s having a good time at school.
I also love that they go for a walk around the neighborhood on Thursdays. They go looking for ducks the lagoon and also look like a group of ducklings.
Birthday at AIK
Mama brought cookies to Janie’s afterschool program (Alameda Island Kids) and everyone sang “Happy Birthday” to her. It was cute how the teachers knew that she didn’t like it when kids did the “cha-cha-cha” during the song so they told everyone “no cha-cha-cha, ok!?”
She picked the tables for snack time and sat with her crew of boys for their special snack.
Yellow Day
This week’s color is yellow and today everyone wore yellow clothes. Peanut is the second one from the left too busy talking to Ethan to smile for the group photo.
Miss Deborah also caught Peanut and his buddy Ethan playing quietly together in the pretend play corner. So sweet.
Sandbox
You would think he’d get tired of playing in the sandbox everyday but it’s still a top activity for him after so many months.
Playing at School
Peanut got to play with his buddy Ethan today. He had been gone for a few days and Miss Deborah said he was not quite himself without his friend around.
And of course, he spent a good part of outside play in the sandbox.
Red Snack
This week, Peanut’s class learned about the color red. For snack, each kid brought in a red fruit to share today.
Peanut brought raspberries and thoroughly enjoyed all the strawberries too.
