This evening, after swim, we went to Jack London Square to have Happy Hour and dinner with Sophie and Avia.
We brought a soccer ball and they ran around before Dada went to pick up the pizza.
We watched the sun go down and continued playing in the dark.
The kids played their guitars and sang baby to sleep this evening. This is so cute on so many levels.
Peanut said the baby is still sleeping. We have to be extra quiet this morning.
Mama ordered a baby doll for a class she’s taking this weekend and the kids loved him/her. They haven’t decided if it’s a boy or girl yet.
Team Spain had their first soccer game and it was against Uruguay. Janie played goalie for part of the game and then got to kick the ball around for the other part of the game.
We brought our chairs and wagon for a full-on sideline experience with everyone.
Peanut also rode his Strider around on the baseball field.
Here’s a photo of the team in their uniform! Uncle Henon and Uncle Jimmy are the coaches this season and everyone got a pair of matching red socks with paw prints on them. We will wear them at all future games together.
The kids set up Mama’s old digital camera and filmed their own episode of Octonauts.
It’s the first day of Pre-Kindergarten for Peanut! He’s been in between his Dolphins Class and Room 6 all summer to help with the transition but today his cubby was officially moved. His teachers this year are Ms. Agnes and Ms. Sabrina. They have been teaching together for many years and they’re great.

It’s been warm this past week so the kids played with the water table this weekend and played “restaurant” yesterday.
The fun continued today but with a few more helpers in the restaurant that were less than helpful in the end. They all just ended up making a be wet mess. 🙂
Today, Peanut had no school and Mama was off. Janie had to go to school so we dropped her off and then helped out the teacher by making a bunch of photocopies.
Then, we went to the Oakland Zoo for a Mama and Peanut day of fun!
He was most excited about riding the gondola.
We saw the black bear up close as sh was eating breakfast.
We got to ride the train and found ourselves faced with a potential runaway wallaby at the gate.
Peanut also rode the cars and the plane ride that he’s now tall enough to ride.
On our way home, we met up with Auntie Eleen and Maya (who also had no school today). We had a big spaghetti lunch and then went home for a nap.
At the end of the day, we picked up Janie from AIK and she was so happy to show Peanut around.
The kids are enjoying their home and neighborhood again. When Peanut walked into the house yesterday, he said “I remember this place.”
The neighborhood kids were also happy to see them back and it was warm enough to have a watergun fight.
We had lunch at Chipotle and then they were back to their usual hijinks, including a little incident with a planter box that gave him a bandaid on his eyebrow.
