Ever since the kids returned home, Peanut has been telling us this story. Sounds like he broke Ama’s coffee pot. Sorry Ama…
Dinner Conversation
Mandarin Song
Janie sang one of her songs from Yu Ying to the family today.
Baby Shark
Peanut learned this song this past month at school and has been singing it all the time. He did an impromptu show for me while enjoying his watermelon.
This guy is hilariously cute. And makes eating a watermelon look so good!!
Singing in Mandarin
With Janie going to Yu Ying for 3 weeks this summer, she learned some new songs in Mandarin. And of course, Peanut learned them too.
Love Notes
Drawings

Janie comes home with so much artwork everyday. After cleaning out her backpack today, I found some gems.

This is the back of the picture: “Mom, Here is a wonderful picture for you. Love KK (but my real name is Kaylee)”

This was drawn on the day that she found a new bottle of hand sanitizer in her backpack. It smells like peach and has those tiny microbeads in it. She wrote: “Mom, my friends like the new sanitizer. Thank you mom!”

Here is a picture of the Easter Bunny. I asked what the blue stuff on that kid’s face and she said “they’re tears” but couldn’t explain why the kid was crying.

Rainy Day
It rained most of today so we stayed in after going to Chinese school and swim lessons. Peanut browsed some books while Dada helped Janie with her homework. They’re making a leprechaun trap!
